@ channelnicky i use cyberlinkpowerdirector 8 and it doesnt freeze on me at all it may be freezing on you because you have to many files open or something or you are downloading to many stuff thats making it easy to freeze if it still keep on freezing on you uninstall it and install it again if that doesnt help just delete it and try a a new editor software

@electrifrying it has a tab that if, youre connected through the internet connects to your youtube acct. and instead of publishing it on your computer.. it directly uploads on youtube.. you do still have the option to publish it on your computer as well, as upload it at the same time :)

i used pd8 and it worked for me, it never crashed or closed or anything.. it's cool and fun... love PD a lot, it helps me to finish my project......^_^

once you use a lot of transition or effects. it will make the project closed. so you must need to save before you use any effects. It is common!!!

u need to first transfer VHS to DvD, Panasonic DMR-EA38VK will do, then put THAT DvD to your computer's DvD rom or recorder, use PD v8's capture device to transfer VHS video to your computer, now u r ready to edit the VHS video and re-record your master piece... forget about transfering copy-righted VHS video, it'll not work only yours! remember garbage in garbage out... 240 lines of resolution to 500 lines, it's not what u'd expect...
