2: Borderlands is an FPS first, RPG second. Whether you hit or not is entirely dependent on your skill with your mouse (or controller), but the damage you do depends on your gun and your character's skill with that kind of gun. Also, critical hits are not random, but are caused by shooting targets in the head or other vulnerable areas.
hey bro, you know if the game will have a dynamic world, or will everything stay as you leave it, like fallout 3? cause personally, i would like this game alot more if i knew if there were like roaming bandits and moving bandit camps or procedurally generated masses of skags.
i think what they did was make the main path to a certain area or place stays the same while the bandit camps and skags move around so they always turn up somewhere else. and main places like towns and stuff usually don't change.
they have classes but they can still use every other weapon in the game. So nordecai been a sniper can use heavy arms such as a a rocklet launcher or other big guns.
Well roland is more of a healer than the rest, depending on how much you level up your HP will rise and you can take more hits although enemies get tougher as well. HP sort of is the defence but i heard there is defence shields like in halo but they vary. Not much has been confirmed in that aspect but there is a lot of extras like health pakcs, shields. Its not all about guns theres lots more.
You can use any weapon, but you'll be best with sniper rifles and revolvers because he can unlock skills for those that raise accuracy, damage, ect...
It's less Halo more CoD4/5... You can aim down the sights in this, which pretty much blows the Halo idea out of the water, since that's a major gameplay mechanic Halo doesn't have :P
its a completly different game that blows galo and cod out of the water, gearbox was inventive and made something new and interesting instead of milking the same old shit tike bungie and activision/trearch do

I think I know the demo you speak of. It was a pre Alpha and he was spawning guns to show them off. You can have up to 4 guns on your person at any given time. They are mapped to the D-pad. Hope I helped :3
To be more clear, I'm pretty sure you mean you can only equip 4 guns at any given time but you can carry whatever your inventory can hold. Otherwise that be incredibly stupid to vendor weapons that drop off enemies.
Here's how it basically works. You start off with one D-Pad slot unlocked (top or bottom, left or right, I got no clue...) That is your equipped gun. By doing certain quests, you can unlock a second slot. This will be your secondary weapon, and how you quick-switch guns without having to go to inventory any more. Later on, you can unlock a tertiary and a quarterly slot. All of these correspond to the D-Pad.
It's somewhere around 50 inventory slots. And the vendors give the same weapons enemies can, but with the sheer number of weapons, you're highly unlikely to find anything like that :P
No ragdoll physics?? wtf you talking about man, go watch some more videos, basically if they're not flying through the air, they're getting blown apart. As for the AI, eh you can't be sure if thats just how these ones are, theres a lot more baddies in the game and from what i know, these are one of the easiest of them

Well people seem to hop on the Mad Max train with good reason when talking about this game, but no one ever brings up the Tower....which I see alot of similarities to. The wooden grip thing i've read in an interview before and the gist was that some corporation in the game offers wooden handles that enable more damage for pistols/revolvers. :)

Yeah from what i've heard Pitchford say about the team they all seem like pretty diverse & creative fellows, so some of them being Tower fans would make sense.
By the way, this is just my opinion, but the 1st four books are god tier and the last three are meh tier. If I knew, I would have stopped at 4 and then just read the Dark Horse spin-off comics. If you can deal with a whole lot more 'meta' in the books, read on.

i know...i am assuming about 200 hours of gameplay in this...i am gunna play it with each character, and the main quest is 15 hours...so that times 4 is 60, then with doing sidequests between all 4 characters prbly adds 60 more hours...then Achievement hunting for probably 20 hours, messing around in co op for 10 hours, exploring for 15 hours, and then DLC and probably if i take a rest of the game for about 2 weeks and come back, i will be addicted again and do it all over...man i cant wait
A single playthrough if you were to do everything would take around 100 hours alone, if not more. Then there's New Game + after that so you can finish leveling up your character. There's no way you can do all that with all of the characters in 200 hours.

Whom ever said that, needs to quit throwin around false info. Borderlands Auto-Saves when you quit, and saves everything if you die. All you lose is a bit of money if you die. It auto saves at NEW-U stations (Checkpoints). In no way do you lose anything if you quit. I guess unless you plug pull or lose power, maybe. But that's almost with every game.

In the beginning, from what I've heard, you can carry three weapons, and when you level up so far, you can carry four, but I'm not sure.
