why does deloris try to breast feed a baby used to a bottle, she will only have to ween the baby back of it later whats the point in messing up the babys system?
Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. The mother adopting the Asia child is trying to give her the best start. How wonderful if the child had taken to her breast has anyone thought about the bond and love she would felt and have experienced probably for the first time and what that would have meant to their new life together. She is only doing what she thinks is best for her child even though adopted. She seems like a great mum. Had all the time and patience unlike most of us mums these days.
Breastfeeding is a natural and beautiful bonding experience for mother and child. But if that kid is old enough to make themselves a sandwich - time to stop!
@BadGirlOfAutism as a matter of fact breastmilk has some addictive components. It's part of the package that makes it a strong bonding experience.
On the matter of what's the best age to stop, I'm not gonna judge because there is still not enough known about breastfeeding much older kids. only that average age in the world to stop is 4 years... so if that's the average, there must be a significant amount (50% by definition) that is older then 4 years. And in many cultures it is seen as normal.
I was breastfed till 3 or 4 n I think it fukd me uppp I was always spoiled n it didn't do any good. I breastfeed my 16 month old n thanks to this I'm going to try to stop starting tomorrow lol
reported? uhmmm its a documentary you retard, its not like its a goddamn secret. Child abuse? Are you alright? Breastfeeding is not child abuse jackass, theres nothing to report, its HER CHILD. ADOPTED OR NOT. ITS HER CHILD.
@Mxracer6y You're right, breast feeding isn't a crime. What is a crime, is forcing a newly adopted child to drink from a strangers (the new mothers) breast. It's very bizzare. Legally, it's her child. Biologically, it isn't.
@alexiamonroe Ok. But the thing is, thats not a crime either. Its HER child, biological or not. I understand your point but i wouldnt exactly say she forced the child. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that considering the child has NEVER been breastfed that its going to take some gentle coercion, which is exactly what she was doing...She never put her nipple in the kids mouth, close... but not in the mouth. How else do you expect the child to figure it out? Also, her intentions are good...
@alexiamonroe So since I was adopted from birth, is it wrong for my new mother to have breastfed me simply because I'm not her child? If she did that with all of her other children it doesn't mean she should have to stop.
I find it very sad that Eliza's sister, feels so left out. It seems mean to flaunt the fact that her sister is allowed to breast feed but she can't. It is like her sister is allowed to have a closeness with her mother that she can't. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think someone should be breast feeding at seven anyway. But, if that mother needs another reason to have her stop, she should look at the sister.
Every little girl wanna have breast and me when i was young i was putting balloons in my bra just to see what breast will look like on me, so i don't think it's something wrong for them to put oranges in bras, it's normal but i think breastfeeding at 8 is wayyy too old! It's at that age that they developpe weird behavior like wanting to suck on there own breast when they will be breastfeeding after 1yrs old it's only by pleasure not necessity for the child
I feel for Bethany. Her mother tells HER that she is growing up and doesn't need it- the same applies to Eliza but she gets to breastfeed all the time.
Umm, breastfeeding for years leads to higher IQs? Is that why the 8 year old is acting like a 2 year old, HITTING her mother's breasts and demanding milk? She seems developmentally behind. She does NOT appear to have a higher IQ. Breastfeeding until 8 has clearly retarded this child's mental and social development. How sad.
I agree however a high iq has nothing to do, with how mature someone acts. She could be very smart, and just a complete idiot in social and mental development.
@IAMMADEOFCHALK123 oh my gosh when they said "in the morning she adopts" that's totally what I thought they were gonna say: this kid didn't work, let's get a new one. How awful!!
I dont understand why those mums want to let the world see them breastfeed. I dont think others have a problem with it, i mean its just a private thing. Breastfeeding is only between a mother and a child, and you should do it at home or in privacy. The calendar idea makes them look obsessed with breastfeeding. If its such a natural thing, do it and get on with your life
@plsoderman so if I'm a way from home doing my weekly shop, I have to let my child scream her head off for half an hour until I get home on the bus, just to please the likes of you? NO I'm going to find the nearest cafe, sit down and feed my child. If you don't like it then don't look simples. they made the calendar so people would understand breastfeeding in public. Like she said, if it was on page 3 of the sun every day then it would be the norm, not some anorexic model with her top off!!
@angiec0307 i dont have a problem with nursing in public. if your kid is hungry while they're out, then sit down and feed him. But even if you're doing it in public, it's between you and your kid, not for you and the world. Like i said, if it's so natural then do it and move on with your life
i'm not against breastfeeding. but that woman in cumbria took it too far. when her youngest daughter said about growing her own breasts i actually felt really sorry for her. if anything leaving her that long to wean did her more bad than good. she doesn't seem any happier than if she'd have been weaned when she was 3 or 4.. :/
@adrianedawndawn Then again, I suppose there are worse things in life but, why is she making things so difficult? That is my question. if that baby is going to be weaned at what we would call a "normal" age well, that baby would be getting close. It seems they are trying to make her learn to breast feed only to take it away fairly soon.
who said breast milk increases the IQ. As far as im concerned it seems to be killing every brain cell in that eliza girl's head. what a complete spastic.
@lionmant I agree it doesn't raise the IQ I could probably find a smart girl who is younger then that and can paint knows who van gogh is and can actually play the violin(she isn't breastfed and she is only 6 or 7) ohh wait there is a little girl like that Sophia from mugglesam. The only thing breastfeeding does is fights off illnesses like the flu and things like that.
To clarify, what I mean about the 3rd graders thinking breastfeeding strange..is that the 3rd grader themself would think it's strange for one of THEM to still breastfeed with their mothers. As someone else stated, I also wonder about the hormones of a 8 yr old breast feeding considering many girls are starting their menstruals between 9-14 yrs old. This girl has breastfed almost up to the time that she is about to start her own cycle and can biological have children herself.
An 8 yr old breastfeeding is weird and I don't care what anyone says. I work with children in education. If I found out that a 3rd grade student was still breast feeding, I would report the parents to the school social worker and to the Dept. of Child and Family Services. Mind you, I work in a large American city where 3rd grade girls wear cherry glitter lip gloss, put little hearts on their nails and love Hello Kitty. They would find breastfeeding strange and think it's for babies.
That fuckin girl didn't even need breastmilk !! She wanted it ! And she's a brat and is not intellegant . That milk didn't do shit for her brain ! Or maby it did but u ( mom) fucked it up by not being a good parent ! Breastfeeding is only a part of motherhood , how come this bitch was able to make it the whole thing ? My minuplateing her child with it !!
I guess breastfeeding made her daughter greedy ... When she gets pregnant , she's gunna suck her own fucking tit !! I'm sure she won't even give her baby any ! And u say u look at it as a steping stone , that should have happened a long time ago !! She looks like she has problems ! And who let's their grandmother breastfeed their child !! Ur all fucked up family !
that 8 year old girl is fat because of all the breastmilk she is drinking. I wonder if her hormones are going to be fucked! Proof breastfeeding is not good. look at how this 8 year old acts and she is FAT as hell! for her age. PIG!
For a child who was breastfed for at least 7 years, Eliza comes across as more of a spoilt brat than an intelligent and well-behaved girl. She even swatted her mum's breast because of her frustration at her inability to feed on demand. Well, that's gratitude for you.
And if breastfed kids are meant to be healthier, why does Eliza look to be on the fast track to obesity? She's already well overweight.
@rinsrevenge Yeah I'm afraid the two girls look really chubby for their age; the problem is, I think breast milk has too much fat for older children; young babies need it cause they're still developing but after a certain point, it's too much fat for the diet. The only thing it is useful for in adults is perhaps in cases were it's been fed to terminally sick patients with cancer, AIDS, other viral issues because it does provide antibodies; this is an issue still in research.
@rinsrevenge I completely agree! She acts like a spoiled brat who cannot share and cannot wait, and she is overweight which is unhealthy too. So both physically and mentally she is unhealthy now because of it.
@rinsrevenge Exactly. It's because of all the other junk in her diet. There's no benefit to the breastmilk anymore. I'm not impressed with that family. Eliza seems weird. And spoiled. There's been no benefit to it. Just the mom's odd idea of a "gift" or comfort thing. It's the mother's idea alone. She's been a complete enabler. Just the fact that Zach, the 2 year old little boy, switched from wanting milk to wanting hugs just proves that as you get older you need diff kinds of comfort.
@rinsrevenge She is not overweight, she looks a LITTLE more than average but there is no way she is overweight. And I honestly dont see the spoilt brat image that you see. She comes across as a young smart girl who loves her mothers breast. Swatting her mums breast in frustration is understandable for 7.
@asshole4good It most definitely is not hot, it is completely unnatural and bad. These children are growing up to be freaks this way. And: the longer you wait with weaning the child, the harder it will be.
@Vic8Teach I think she means that she likes the milk. Have you ever tried it ? I have tasted my ow milk and I can understand why Eliza would be so attached to it. It's the taste, it is very sweet and if everyone out their were to taste it, they would understand too just why these kids loved it so much.
@J0hnMarston:RE-Veronica meant to say that her youngest daughter has lost the capability to suckle the milk really well out of her nipples. Maybe the little just sucked less hard on her mom's nipples, as she got older, I'm guessing. Yes, it was was stated earlier in the documentary, that Veronica's husband, did suckle on her tits, yummy!
@asshole4good You reckon with regards to adult nursing relationships/romantic sucking, adults can probably re-learn how to suck (I find it hot too lol so I hope that's what happens :) )
This was a very interesting documentary--even though the last couple minutes were cut off. I do think the mother of Eliza & (Veronica?) carried it on a bit long. I'm all for giving your children what they need, but not always what they want. But it definitely changed my perspective on breastfeeding a LITTLE later. I think it's too bad that breastfeeding isn't seen as completely normal to do anywhere. I hope that someday it is.
I am breastfeeding my 16 month old and hope to til he's at least 2 - but that Eliza is spoiled and totally indulged! I don't think it's sick or unnatural, but she is growing into a selfish, demanding brat!
