Odd to think we used to marvel at the 286 in the heyday of DOS. A 286 could still get on the internet today, albeit with of course with DOS. Not too difficult to achieve actually with the right packet driver.
@CompaqVet Fantastic! Tell me, what VCR did you use to record these? They are of very high quality. Is it a Sharp brand? My dad used one in the 1980s and the quality is very similar, nice and sharp and the sound was nice and crisp.
You may very well be right! I hadn't really thought about that. Although, thinking back, I can't recall Compaq doing anything but those overly serious ads in the US campaigns.
