quartzite used to be class VI before it was dynamited , the Salt Gila and Verde rivers are awesome if we get snow in Flagstaff, the White Mountains and for the Gila over in the Mogollon Mountains, not so much this year(

not much whitewater? try going down quartzite or corkscrew or blackrock or eye of the needle..
