@MinnesotaDrummer I'm just using the included overhead mics in the mic pack I got. I don't have them with me so I can't tell you what they are. Surprisingly, they have a pretty darn good sound so I was pleased when recording with them, even though they are nothing like higher end

@mangie222 There really is no "best song" to start drumming to. If you truly are just starting out drumming, don't instantly rush into drumming with songs. That won't get you very far very fast. Sure, it may be fun, and you'll have fun, but you'll end up getting more frustrated than improving your skills. I recommend that you practice rudiments and individual limb coordination. Also, get a metronome and play rhythms and some fills to a comfortable pace. Message me if you want some more info.

The Xs20 actually sounds incredibly good for its price..I think I picked that crash up for $140 new. For the price range, I don't think there is anything better (maybe A Custom Zildjians if you like Zildjians :P) but I'm a Sabian guy myself
