The taliban are NOT funded by opium, they almost iradicated the poppy thats why we invaded (+ oil pipeline and $3trillion worth of mineral deposits including copper and uranium).

Would america turn a blind eye to opium if it funded their enemy?

would they sacrifice soldiers for the sake of keeping locals happy? NO.

This was descovered in holland when only cannabis was decriminalised, a 90% reduction in new hard drug addicts in 1st year and less % of people take drugs in holland compared to other places.
