  • is it the byte apple brand or lisa?

  • If you owned this in 1982, you were RICH!

  • @BryanTheYellowDart don't u mean DOS, not doss??

    :3

  • Did it come with the optional Bluetooth keyboard?

  • @700gsteak looks like an old apple HD

  • @BryanTheYellowDart true words form a hipster who doesn't know shit

  • imagen playing counter strike on it!!!

  • I was born when Graphical User Interface was standard on a computer, but I would have LOVED to see this in its glory day!

  • Whats the two units between the monitor and the keyboard?

  • Is there any way you could show demos of the color graphics on this machine? I'm just curious as I've never seen an Apple III display color before.

  • Apple III is not bad because it still work

  • Whats that thing he put in the computer and whats the ticking sound? sorry i was born in the 1990's

  • @uglycorny9 *LOL* An old kind of floppy disk, and the sound is when the computer tries to access the floppy disk...

  • @uglycorny9 You best be trollin

  • @uglycorny9 i was born 95 and i reconize it >:O

  • @uglycorny9 i was born in 2000 and i know to.

  • *whistles* Wow! You're lucky to have this!

  • @Kazuo1G Thanks! :-)

  • How come when I was a kid all I needed to do was insert the floppy and the game would run on the old mac?

  • @chucknorris687 Games (and therefore the other various bits of software needed to run them) back then had smaller file sizes and were less hardware-intensive then today's games.

  • @Saisen10 Yes it does make sense - how do you manage to overheat a 2MHZ cpu unless you have deliberately mis-wired it or placed it into a blast furnace to operate? The assumption that a 2mhz cpu can overheat with the larger micro-lithographic scale of the early 80's is borderline clinically insane. I have had 286 cpu systems that ran at 10 to 12mhz that could not be made to overheat - so either apple is of poor design at that time (which I doubt directly), or you just wanted to say anything?

  • Wonderful job you've done. Thank you!

  • @tpemail2002 Thanks!! :-)

  • The mistake made on this machine was that Steve jobs insisted no fan should e be installed on this computer.

  • I want one! Even though I have the newest iMac, that Mac seems so cooooool! Is that the first one?

  • @casted02 no the apple II e is a bit older and in my opinion a nicer model/ design and easier to work without hurting your neck to work with/look at the screen for long periods of time. The first one is likely from 79 or 1980. The apple II e was the first ever computer I ever used at school in kindergarten/first grade.

  • An Apple III that didn't fry itself? :O

  • mmmm monochrome yellow

  • @doxdex1562 none of these machines were originally yellow but this basic beige and grey color combination, it's just the aging of these plastics going yellow is what you see. I'm very happy that you can get most machines in black these days.

  • For a 3rd computer pretty amazing and was that Steve jobs?

  • a real work of art no joke : ) nice apple

  • Love those old amber monochrome monitors.

  • Was that first bit of animation @ 1:40 the volume meter on a iPhone Emulator? Ha HAA!

  • If your family owned a computer in 1982 you were a member of the geek squad.

  • @dvdfrnzwbr *LOL*

  • @dvdfrnzwbr well call me a geek ( i also had a cell phone in 1988 :P)

  • wow futuristc! whats porn look like back then

  • @pumpkinpieguy77 ASCII-art and novels... Not much of the sort back then though...

  • @SvenskAppleIII lol, thanks

  • I can't believe how tall the monitor sits on that thing. I'd feel like I'm staring at the ceiling to use it.

  • @adric22 It works pretty well actually, remember that it's a really small monitor, so the angle isn't that bad...

  • i cant believe people used to piss themselves at the sight of this computer

  • Not sure if its just my machine playing around, but the video will not play.

  • @TheEPROM9 Must be your machine, cause lots of peeps can see it. Maybe a reboot!? ;-)

  • How much computer do you need to put some squares on a computer with a monitor that can only display two colors. You've got ten seconds...

  • @FegeleinsRevenge Apple Sucks Vista Is Fine! Though That I Have Windows 7

  • ehhm wheres all your music???? (xDDD) no just kitting great machine! :)

  • Yay, good old days!

  • THIS IS PRICELESS!! A PIECE OF HISTORY:D

  • Wow! This is real science fiction! :)

    This makes today's computers boring!

  • I wonder if it supports Leopard...

  • that would be cool if u could put usb ports, 8gb of ram, cd/dvd drive, hard drive, wireless in that thing

  • Hey Apple! Hey Apple! Apple, hey!.....

  • Hey, Ain't the Apple III suppose to be very unreliable because it overheats due to the crappy casing design

  • @Dakkiller1 So if I would get a working one, I should support it with a custom cooling fan?

  • @1xWertzui Yea, or make sure that the inside doesn't get too hot. I heard that sometimes the floppies get burnt in their too when it gets too hot

  • @Dakkiller1 Exactly what i've heard too. Probably a good idea to cool it with an extra fan!!

  • 'cont

figure it out! I was selling a really nice setup of an Apple III and a NEC Spinwriter printer. Expensive, but if you were into writing, it was a nice configuration. Unfortunately, most of the applications were Apple II packages that would run in emulation, and not all of those would run properly. We affectionately called this machine a boat anchor.

Curiously, I quit that retailer and a short time later sold the 2nd Apple Lisa in Los Angeles, yes with the twiggy drives!

  • @ToyKingWonder Thanks for your interesting comment! It's always fun to hear about first hand experience and Apple history...

  • This brings back memories. I used to sell these, but the problem was, I would sell 1 to every 100 Apple II+ I sold. We had tons in our warehouse we could not unload. I was the ONLY guy (at least that I knew of) in Orange County CA that could configure the SOS to do things like integrate with a good letter quality printer, etc. Not because I was so smart, but because I had sold the darn thing to people and no one else knew how to do it, so I had to invest about 2 days straight to

  • hi i have the same computer but i don't have the floppy. Where could i get one ?

  • wow that thing was made 1 year before i was born

  • @scaleop4 *LOL* Mindboggling, ain't it... ;-)

  • @SvenskAppleIII your not rong .. lol

  • I have a ///+ I bought from some electronics surplus place back in late 90s because it looked interesting.

I used ADT to transfer some Apple II games to it .

They'll run most software that runs on a ][+ with the ][ emulator disk.

  • OMG 3D GRAPHS. :O

  • @Neuromancer1970 LMAO the 3" drop to reset the chips back into the socket made me laugh as a official fix.

  • OMG, I remember when I was just a child, I used to play games in one like this in my uncles house, wow X3

  • The Apple /// is a pretty rare machine - especially the ///+ model with the newer //e-style keyboard. I have a 256Kb /// here which I tested a while ago and it works fine and even managed to transfer a few disk titles over using ADTPro. The entire WAP (Washington Apple Pi) Apple /// archive (hundreds of disks) can now be downloaded so there is some nifty software around for this machine to tinker with.

  • I miss floppy disks and doss. The good old days.

  • @BryanTheYellowDart You meant to say DOS, the acronym for disk-operating-system, and not "doss" right?

  • @BryanTheYellowDart

    DOS is BOS(S)

  • Make sure you hang onto that thing! They were neat machines, although I'm sure most people are used to the apple ][.
