@DIEGO7CUERDAS He takes one very nice section of music, and repeats it endlessly until it is engraved onto your mind. Whatever variety he adds to the tune is very slight, and doesn't affect the overall feeling of the section.
That's the thing about Glass; he understands that if you hear one piece of music over and over, you start to hear an "inner piece", then you begin to adore the piece more than your originally did.
Hard to explain, just listen to this piece once every day. You'll get it.
I love this song, but does anyone have any recomendations for a restless mind. I am a really buissy person, that does a lot of studying and bodybuilding. I need a song that will just slow everything down for me.
@MarvelsofaLifetime Check out augustus pablo dub,i know is not the same style at all but if u lisen to Augustus Pablo reggae dub wich is with out words so your mind does not get influenced ,for exemple listen to meditation dub...most people with a agitated mind get iritated from such music because the tempo is slow but when u listen to it try to take long breths,at least try it 10 times,in by nose, out by mouth, long and slow,it will bring your heart rate down and u will be more calm.Hope it helps
@PennnSmith when people obsess about music and relate it to death/funerals/wakes it is often because they don't have much of a life.
I'd recommend you go outside, walk in the sun with this on your ipod, and see how this music is liked your being being kissed by light.
On the other hand if you're the owner of a funeral home and offering other funeral home owners sage advice on getting repeat business via youtube comments then I commend your efforts.
@VyktorAbyss are you serious right now? he isnt obsessing over what the music relates. hes just making an observation about how the music would fit a wake. thats one observation, not an obsession.
assuming somebody doesnt "have a life" just because they draw connections between media and real life is such an ignorant approach to the situation that your entire point is invalid
and if you really wanted to go there, the song is named "closing". draw your own conclusions.
tThis is vintage Glass, but very average for him

it is not the complexity of something that makes it great, but its memorability

One person who doesn't truly understand music from different perspective or he's just being an asshole.
