Car manufacturers shouldn't carry the sole blame for the demise of the electric car. EVs a few years back were very expensive, they came when gas was cheap, and not many people were willing to consider them over the freedom they had with gas powered cars.
Hopefully EeStore finishes their work on the EESU soon (if it's not just a big scam). It will guarantee the *pure* electrification of the automobile, with the range and recharge time people want, and at a price that most people can afford.
Okay, the manufacturers shouldn't hold the sole blame. But they certainly must hold the majority of it. The were expensive then but only because they were being made in small numbers. Anyone who has ever taken an economics class knows that with increased volume your total costs come down so your argument is not very good.

Yes, Doug is AMAZING...he was in the movie...and has been one of the MAIN people working on "Who SAVED the Electric Car?"
Take a look at what Ford made during that time period...tons of Torque, zero gasoline!

toyota, awesome car manufacturer. legendary quality, and fuel economy. oh what did you say? they used to have electric rav 4s?!?!
that's how i used to think of toyota, now i lost all respect for them after watching who killed the electric car.
btw, wasn't this guy who owns this account in the movie who killed the electric car? i remember hearing his voice...
