& enid up fucking up the tranny on the 5 speeds that wrx's have. the 5 speeds arnt as strongly built as the 6 speed STI boxes... its jsut the same gearbox directly taken from the forester. prone to flexing in the transfer case among other things.

lets see u do a 6k launch in your own car which youve paid for jsut to try & impress some couch comando drivers on the interwebs.

without hard acceleration at the beginning you can get the 5,9.

With the right maesurement this was sure over 6 Sec!!

1. the Car mooves bevor you see it on the Speedometer 0,x sec.

2. you can trust the 100 on the Speedometer.

The 5,9 are not so easy to catch. The Stopwatch isnt the right thing.

I know. I drove a 6sec with a fast GPS. A slower start were 5 Seconds on the Speedometer with stopwatch.

i have a my05 wrx.

The driftbox (GPS 10hz) showed me 5,9 till 100 and i shiftet bevore real 100kmh (98 :P) into the third gear.

The second would reach real 105...

But it was faster than on my videos. I have also a logfile from this test.

WRX07 is really a good car. The new WRX 2008 is really not so good, bad performance, bad shape.... Yes i recommand this car, it's a pleasure to drive it. Old car like the GT are really good too, or old WRX models like 2001 or 2003. But You should choose a car with few KM/miles, and a very important things, know the car's history, because a lot of people try to improve the flat foor, and it can affect the reliability of this fantastic car.
