Philadelphia Flyers wait out the Lightning's trap

I am a Canuck fan so I am used to seeing the Trap in the Western Conference so what Tampa Bay did was very smart, considering the fact they had some of their best players out from injuries, so they were playing smart hockey. I don't know if the Flyers are not used to going up against the Trap but it was very dumb and selfish what they did. I respect both teams, but it wasn't Tampa Bay's job to let the Flyers get a scoring opportunity. Smart hockey Tampa :)

ok this is amazing in my eyes, i love how teams trap the other team and shut them down. I see hockey as a chess match the defencemans as castles, the forwards as in bishops pawns queens and kings. Its nice to see a hockey team do this to their advantage. Hockey to me is a game of strategy not skills but how well you play the trap, stick to your system of hockey then this will get yout the win. I remember when the swedes invented the nutral zone trap against the soviets and it worked well.

When opposite team makes an attack the front guy will force the attacker to the side and will get trapped by the three in the middle, wich results in the opposite team will loose the puck or shoot for icing. It's a boring tactic wich makes the game basicly stop because no one will get anywhere.

That's why playoffs are Best of seven, and not best of one.
