i will enlighten you all. The CERN is having some of the superconducting magnets replaced. replacing them only takes a day. But cooling them back to supercool will take months. Blackholes do not grow that fast....especially when they are smaller then an atom. If one did form and started growing....it would take thousands if not millions of years to grow to something life threatening. By that time humans will be inhabiting other planets and galaxies. The space race has started.

Don't underestimate the potential of technology. Though it's true that you cannot go through space faster than the speed of light, but, It is possible to bend time and space. If it can be done in a controlled manner such that a "highway" can be made, by stretching out "space", then you can travel from a point to point very fast. Inside you would be under the speed of light, but from an outside pov, you would be going faster. Like how light is faster in air than in water. I'd say more, no space.

Well, my theory as to why it didn't create a black hole is because they didn't launch the LHC - just a theory. I mean, the LHC is theorized to be able to cause black holes. Of course, if you don't use it, then the chance of making a black hole is somewhat reduced.

I believe they described the black hole as small, and if they created a black hole - the hole won't be able to sustain itself because of its high "so called fuel" needs and collapse on itself.

Well i partially agree those who say a black hole could happen.
But i feel that as long as professionals know what they're doing, and they don't take major risks, such as trying to accumulate a ton of antimatter or something like that, the risk is low enough that it is worth taking.

i will enlighten you all. The CERN is having some of the superconducting magnets replaced. replacing them only takes a day. But cooling them back to supercool will take months. Blackholes do not grow that fast....especially when they are smaller then an atom. If one did form and started growing....it would take thousands if not millions of years to grow to something life threatening. By that time humans will be inhabiting other planets and galaxies. The space race has started.

But the demand of launching satellites for companies will rocket. This, along with the prospect of making money from space realty will drive many to invest in space....which ultimately increases the amount of market for space ferrying companies, which translates into lower costs. There are billionaires talking about building space hotels.

Don't underestimate the potential of technology. Though it's true that you cannot go through space faster than the speed of light, but, It is possible to bend time and space. If it can be done in a controlled manner such that a "highway" can be made, by stretching out "space", then you can travel from a point to point very fast. Inside you would be under the speed of light, but from an outside pov, you would be going faster. Like how light is faster in air than in water. I'd say more, no space.

Well, my theory as to why it didn't create a black hole is because they didn't launch the LHC - just a theory. I mean, the LHC is theorized to be able to cause black holes. Of course, if you don't use it, then the chance of making a black hole is somewhat reduced.
