Pretty sure it's just about using they're passion for music and using it to see something tangible come from it (i.e. building a house).  They saw an opportunity to help others through their talents even though they might not necessarily go hand in hand.

It is because I heard other songs from this ep and also some old mae's songs and I like the lyrics and their meaning. or at least my interpretation of them. for example, night/day I see it as the moment that is the transition from resignation to motivation, from the darkness of indolence to the new light of action.
