EddieAR: LOL yes, you are so right.. in fact, I was just listening to that Major Tom (coming home), and thought it sounded really familiar to an old NES game I played.. a few seconds of thinking, trying to remember, and it hit me.. RC PRO-AM! The beginning of each race ( 0:40 ) sounds a lot like it, and the sound effect is dead on. I've heard Major Tom before but never made the connection, glad I'm not alone haha xD
