I´m brazilian and I know this car would not run ever in Brazil. In fact, brazilians make fun of tiny cars: I´ve seen SMART drivers get ridiculed on the streets.

Also, there´s no reason for a car to be special just because it is flex: 85% of the cars sold in Brazil are flex and they are you regular car.

Continuation: The Major part of Brazilian Sugar plantation is situated at the brazilian "cerrado" area (savanna alike) - central west, southeast and northeast, and it has been like that since the beginning of this culture. The rain forest is in danger, but most for other stupid reasons like wood harvest, not sugarcane.

The food issue is easy to solve, US must use sugarcane ethanol not stupid corn one.
