It's true that most mainstream music lacks musicianship, but most mainstream everyday food, alcohol, and other art like mainstream movies tend to lack quality ingredients too, couldn't you say? I don't like Justin Bieber any more than the rest of you but maybe we should all realize no one is calling him real music any more than we call McDonalds an excelent feast. Keep representing Kaki, there's an awesome and vast demographic of people that love your music that look for something more in art.

That's a Steiner EVI (electronic valve instrument)...it's basically a synth trumpet...they don't make em anymore...but you now get the modern version in the form of the Yamaha and Akai Electronic Wind instruments that look more like flutes / saxophones...

WOW! It's musicianship like this which astounds me. It seems that in mainstream music, most of the time the musicianship is lacking or there is none at all. There are so many good musicians out there and a good majority of them do not get noticed in the mainstream music industry because such music isn't marketable. People do not want to sit down and admire strong musicianship like Kaki King has; instead, they would rather listen to a sucky pop song with little or no musicality to it.
