Amazing performance, I love everything this guy sings pretty much. Still, he sounded ill and nervous at Wacken '08, it's amazing that they carried through with his voice so shot. Sadly, I worry that contributed to his resignation.
It nearly makes me cry to see him...I want him back for Kamelot!!! In my opinion he was and IS the only true singer for Kamelot...the band will never be the same without him...for me he was the best singer on the whole planet...and I've only seen him twice live...and I can't see him ever again...that's so sad! :'(
I really hope that the albums without Roy will be good...but I'm not so sure about that...

@kenshinjd He burnt out,i forget his actual statement but it seems to be pretty serious.The level where you just cant bring yourself to do anything anymore.He deserves a long break with his family and he'll probally come back out shining as he used to.
@GameJourney I realize your post is 8 months old, but after listening to Khan for so long now, do you REALLY believe he took opera lessons? His technique is awful, I love his voice, but if he took 3 years of opera lessons he needs to get his money back, that teacher ripped him off BIG time.

@I3lindGuardian I totally agree with you. I think he did take opera lessons though, and in the early years of Kamelot he seemed to have pretty good technique, but he probably just got sloppy. I'm a voice major and I'm guilt of the same thing lol, when I'm on summer break, my technique goes out the window and that's just a few months, so I can see how Khan's technique could fall so dramatically after years of no training :p

Their live shows are not as good or worse than the albums - they are BETTER! Fuck, I want to see these guys live soooo BAD! I hope they come to North America next year.
Im gutted that hes left :( even more that I never got to see him live :'(
