  • This is great BUT 'Get Yer Ya's Ya's Out' is another peak period for the Stones.

  • Love those 60s girls!

  • Amazing Vid, brings back good Times, thanks a whole Bunch!

  • Put glasses on Brian Jones during his solo on Time is On My Side and he'd look like Austin Powers! YEAH BAAAAAAAAYBE Yeah!

  • Poor Bastards had to follow James Brown!

  • @SixSevenEightyThree How do you think Mick moved the way he did?! He saw James Brown and GOT INFECTED...brought it to the stage!

  • @mikecorso1 It would be more accurate to say that as the final performers, Mick took up those moves in an attempt to top James Brown, who went on right before they did.. It's been said that the Stones didn't want to go on after Brown (and vice versa) because they knew that they couldn't top him no matter how good they played.. But even if they couldn't top JB, the Stones were more than able to match him.

  • Now this is a band. Not some smiling bobbing up and down Beatles shit...

  • Hermoso... It's so beatiful.. Love them.. Come on, on 2012 they're gonna start rolling again!!!

  • The beatles can FUCK OFF!

  • @deathletter69 too far son.

  • What a ghastly noise! I do hope this sort of thing doesn't catch on. What's wrong with Perry Como?

  • Very good quolity film and sound and performance.

Brian Jones was the best stone. They were so young and

powerful. I like this. Thank you.

  • Chuck Berry should have been eternally grateful to the Stones, Beatles, Yardbirds etc for paying him a fortune in royalties and reviving his career (in the doldrums after his conviction on a morals charge). Instead, he (allegedly) punched Keith Richards for "stealing my licks"! Maybe he was jealous that the Stones played his songs better than he could. Actually, their covers were all superior to the originals, witness All Over Now. They & the Beatles rescued R 'n' R from the likes of Bobby Vee.

  • I think it's fair to say the they liked the stones in America :)

  • Very true!! Brian was the top man in the early days, but he never wrote any songs :( the stones were certainly better with Brian....Gimme shelter is a class song without him but then they just werent the same after he died (still great without him though, keith and mick carried the band after)

  • Looks like kieth's on the uppers bless him :) (look at all these women! willing to get there knickers off) thats what he's thinking. MIGHTY STONES AT THERE BEST!

  • wow. Mick had such control over them girls. He could make then faint with a flick of his hair.

  • Bill? Where are you?

  • Great!! how much fun was the audience havin.

  • keith's eyes glassy because he was crying? GTFO he was stonnned

  • In todays "music business" few groups/singers will actually perform "live"...since they lack the ability to do so...they have "back up tracking" ..double tracking"...gadgetry and illusion...and their people will excuse them saying- "They had a 'throat' problem, but wanted to go on anyway"...the throat problem is THEY CAN:T SING!...I remember all these shows...when it said "LIVE"...they were just that! ^/^

  • Am I the only guitar player who noticed that Keith plays all the lead guitar here; and Brian plays straight rhythm.....? For all you Keith-haters who still kid yourselves that Brian WAS the Rolling Stones. They seem to have done alright without him these past 43 years. Brian, A) couldn't write songs; B) didn't really sing, C) Keith plays all the leads. Great clip though! Why don't they make TV shows like this anymore? Just 20 minutes of a great band doing great music! No commercial interruptions

  • @swiggy58a They don't make TV clips like this anymore because nobody has the skill/nerve/talent to play live in case they fuck up and are never given another chance. Incidentally,Jones and Richards would often swap the lead parts in the early days.

  • @swiggy58a Yes agreed, but the Guitar wasn't Brian's speciality - his was the Harmonica amongst many, many other instruments.. he played lead on a lot of their released early blues tracks. He was just as crucial as Keith in guitar; their weaving here is just remarkable.. shame they stopped working as well together as times moved on...

  • well produced for that time... the brits knew their film production.

  • @kelvinkloud This was a segment for the TAMI show which was filmed in California. The show went broke and remained in a vault until Dick Clark bought the rights and still it took ten years for him to settle royalties with the stars before it could be reissued.

  • I love The Rolling Stones, and particularly Brian Jones. I have this DVD and often watch it To remind me how cool Rock and roll was and is. Im one of the New York Punks that was influenced by Brian and the Stones, and have been playing since 1969Cheers, bernard james Mc dermott

  • @cybergal99 Brian was the best, the Stones were never the same without him.

  • love this video/fantastic/love Brian/never saw this/wonder where U got this?/many thanks

  • @debbiwithani Just google TAMI Show amazon if you want to buy it. Tons of top acts of the era filmed over a 2 day period in LA.

  • frightening to think girls could be so ecstatic as to scream at 5 men playing blues rock.

  • @posthumanhero They were the Justin Biebers of the day except with talent.

  • @posthumanhero 5 white men!

  • @carrier3232 perhaps they needed to upgrade up to 5 black men playing portugese fados....tears, oral service, screaming....the whole bit

  • fantastic upload....many thanks

  • I could stay up ALL night listerning to The Rolling Stones................

  • Damn.... so much personality and soul... there's never been a better band, imo. Still fresh after nearly 50 years.

  • THIS IS SO GREAT. Thank you for posting this!

  • 12:00 - Brian at his healthiest, happiest and best :) most popular stone and talented at this point!! wish things could have stayed the same :( he looks so happy in this video

  • A milestone in their lives: they opened with a Chuck Berry number when Chuck Berry was also on the card.

  • Wow Kurt Cobain at 07:56 !

  • I never get tired of this ! Especially during Around and Around, they look like they are having so much fun. Mick's dancing and Keith's arm motions....

  • hahahaha! 05:52

  • Brian Jones WAS the Rolling Stones. Period. He taught Jagger everything that Jagger knows, but took many secrets to the grave. He is still missed and loved.

  • It's so obvious that The 'Stones always have a gas, gas, gas whenever they do a live cover of a Chuck Berry song; Keith can't contain himself!

  • Kurt Cubain enjoying the show 7:55

  • @hargilad

    Hahahaha! Time traveller.

  • Oh my god! Brian and his teardrop!

  • Brian's rhythm guitar is perfect. The band was never this tight after he went.

  • It's nice to see Keith play with such energy, I miss the days he had a pulse

  • @dachicagoan

4:26 Looks stone dead to me

  • @dachicagoan He's not dead yet, still has a pulse !

  • They sucked without Brian, still do. They made a big mistake getting rid of him.

  • @ziggypop79 : You are so right! Jagger learned from Jones and then threw him out, just like he did with Marianne Faithful. Jones is, and always will be, THE Rolling Stones!

  • THE most important, greatest band ever. The Rock 'n' Rolling Stones.

  • Hey guys Think about it this was like 1960 something , and filming a performance then was a LOT harder then than now. You should be on your knees forever grateful to the people who captured it. Thank You! A big WOW

  • @Birdman6569 Watch a clip of him now, I wouldn't be surprised if he's at 2 bpm from all the drugs he took. A heartbeat is probably a cause for celebration for this guy!

  • amazing footage

keith comes thru as the star , brian looks like he's just about hanging on, and mick is the amazing man he still is and always was

  • @guyNbluejeans I've heard the same thing so let me rephrase. Brian was absolutely a genius in terms of musicianship and his capability to play musical instruments, but he was not a musical genius in terms of songwriting or composing melodies. Although there are some who say he came up with the Ruby Tuesday melody among others which I suppose could be true, but I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

  • the stones at their best! without a care in the world just plaiyng the blues! brian was the king back here!! just look at his charisma and presence!!

  • Lean and mean. With amphetamines!

  • The Stones made the blues sexy. Simple. - First record I bought ? 'All Over Now'. Superb video. Many thanks for posting. They were the real deal.

  • Nobody imitates the James Brown show quite as well as Mick.

  • what instrument is Brian playing here in the beginning plz?

  • @FlatLeeo - It's a teardrop shaped Vox Mark VI guitar... Bill had a bass version a bit later.

  • @boulderjames ok cool thnx ;)

  • what a video.....thanks for uploading it....14:27 of pure joy.....they never got better than this....no need for lights or fire works...just them doing their thing...

  • Great band and great sound also. I love this music and I love Stones. It is part of my life. Look forward to see next world tour :) Thanks Stones from your great music :)

  • frame 6:57

  • @akludagable damn then you must really hate the dead. who covered most of the stones!

  • I love how mick does the james brown!!!!

  • ジミ・ヘンドリクス、ブライアン・ジョーンズも然り

  • This is a lift from the TAMI Show in Santa Monica and if you think this is great you should just get the DVD and see the rest of the show.

  • without words ,only beautifully.

  • That's how R&R is done. Just don't see that anymore.

  • Brian's tone is perfect on "Off the Hook"

  • wow at the fit girl at 0:58 standing nxt to Clark Kent

  • awesome.....thank u mick and the boys

  • Just raw rock and roll...early Rolling Stones..gotta love it!!

  • Best video of vintage Rolling Stones!

Captures their early power and magic, incredible...

  • Brian Jones formed the Rolling Stones and was the driving force behind the band. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are just wankers who took the band over. The Rolling Stones were useless once Brian left. Brian introduced something special to many of the songs he played on - sitar, harpsichord etc. Just goes to show you can't always trust your "so called" mates!

  • @stollingrone sticky fingers and exile were superior lps, not just "covering" stuff..really nasty, dopey, sexual, straight no dope awesome blues rock tunes...ill take sister morphine over "little red rooster" or sway over some naive early stones song, the lyrics were so much more powerful, meaningful,no bullshit, gimme shelter was awesome though,Brian was there by that time i believe. You just can't ignore something powerful like "soul survivor",you just can't,as much as you love early stones more

  • This special Video proves why the Rolling Stones are the greatest Rock Band in Roll Band in the world..if you don't get that ,than you don't know the ART of music..The Beatles a close second and then Led-Zeppelin.....

  • I just got this DVD; "The T.A.M.I. Show" It's A "Must own!"

  • I'll say one thing for the kids back in the day..They sure had a fine taste for music.

  • @joraider08 Why thank you for the compliment ")

  • amazing shit man

  • Bill Wyman appears quite a bit during "Off The Hook."

  • I never get tired of watching this. At one point or another, they all give the camera a big smile. But it is sad to see Brian, he is sorely missed.

  • man, poor Brian just seeing him smiling at 06:44 just kills you. What a sweet guy, really sad!!!

  • That is 14 and a half minutes of music as it's purest and most beautiful.

  • The two highlights of my rock and roll life was waking up in the middle of the night after laying on the couch at age 10 to watch Bette Davis in the Nanny & falling asleep only to be awakened by Jim Morrison's screams in the B&W Doors movie. To a 10 year old Light My Fire was a life changing experience, but then flash forward to the age of 32 in 1997 or 98?? in Ohio State University's 'horse shoe' stadium being totally blown away by the Rolling Stones live!

  • Of course they were completely stoned, maybe even the girls who were melting for them weren't aware of it..they seemed the girl that goes mass on sunday in comparison with Mr Jagger...it was another era, better, only the eve of another era.

  • NO ! ! ! George Martin wasn't Rolling Stones, but he did fantastic things with Paul's songs mostly. You have to listen to more blues originals to get what the Stones wanted to do ! ! !

  • Love the early Stones, such a tight band. Also nice to see Bill and Charlie getting some camera time in this video. I can totally see how Bill slept with 1000 women - he looks like the cool mature older brother :)

  • Ha! I was there- Santa Monica High was right next door and they let people in for free so they'd have a full house, it started in the afternoon with acts like Jan and Dean (on skateboards!). Sonny and Sher were not well recieved at all (lame), and halfway thru 'The beat goes on' someone turned off their p.a. and they stormed off the stage to cheering! The Stones followed James Brown unfortunately and although we were big fans, we left before they finished their act-biggest mistake of my life!

  • You can hear the drums before Charlie Watts even gets on stage.

  • with all due respect to george martin, i think the stones found their man in jimmy miller. george martin doesn't exactly have a whole lot of soul. the rolling stones were, and are, basically a blues band, far, far more so than the beatles ever were. jimmy miller understood this. andrew loog ohlman just wanted them to be pop stars.

  • Top of the game !!

  • I didn't see Bill Wyman till 3:20!!

  • I remember seeing this gig on tv back in the day!...just kidding - I was 1. Finally you can see how the stones looked at an actual gig in the mid sixties - very cool video post! My favorite musician here is Charlie...and you can see Jagger's stage persona it it's early stage - he looks a little less "sure" on stage here.

  • Brian Jones was the best! I like 60's the best era especially stones!

    Because of Brian Jones!

  • Great, remember those early live performances very well - but where the F is Bill?

I see his amp and cab and his extension cab beside Kieth

You have to wait ages for him to be in frame!!

  • Great, remember those early live performances very well - but where the F is Bill?

I see his amp and cab and his extension cab beside Kieth

  • 14:12

Brian Jones just comes out of NOWHERE like BANG

Never seen him move like that onstage before, always been calm and stationary when I've seen him.

  • Great video. Never seen it before. I find it interesting how the professional house band behind them are checking them & the crowd out. I wonder what they thought of them? 2 different generations. The Stones really were on top of their trade for a good decade or so. And I agree with MrWill, it truly would have been on of those 'what ifs' if Martin had been the first producer.

  • I first saw the Stones in 82 then a couple of times and lost them. Too much Tam Tam. I'm reading Keith's "life" which gives a good insight behind images and stuf [...]. And watching this clip i am completely taken how good they where musically. Wow! Thanks for the upload.

  • I first saw the Stones in back 82 , a couple of times afeter and lost them. Too much Tam Tam. Now i happen do read Keith's "Life" watching this clip beeing completely taken how good they were musically. wow! Thanks for uploading this!

  • Wow! In '65 theses guys were the best young band of rockers. They played a lot live and were already good at getting the crow moving. Fab rhythm section, Fab lead singer, Fab guitar work ... Brian and Keith. Watch them play their asses off. They didn't have it down to a science yet... Just a lot of commitment. AND talent.

  • @ AMERICAN

I THINK THE STONES HAVE INSPIRED EVERYONE....MAYBE GOD EVEN ASKS, `WHAT WOULD MICK DO????'....

  • That totally destroys anything the Beatles were doin' at the time.

  • I was luckly to have been at this event, it was at the Santa Monica Civic aud. The tickets were given out free to the local high school students. I am now 66 and it trips me out to see the video.

  • Listen to that audience , hahaha , Girls in the audience were wetting their pants , but besides "the whole atmosphere" of this show, just listen to the playing the Stones were so much better live than most people would've expected, their records could never capture the raw intensity of their playing , I sometimes wonder what they'd have produced in the studio with a "George Martin instead of an Andrew Loog Oldham" behind the console , especially with a musical genius like Brian Jones.

  • @mrwillthethrill1 I think your comment is great and original. Never thought about where George Martin could've taken them. Food for thought !

  • @mrwillthethrill1 Andrew Loog Oldham was never behind the console. He was a marketing guy and a hustler, not a music person and was not equipped to run a recording session from behind the mixing board.

  • @mrwillthethrill1 can you believe that was 47 years ago and their still playing? its amazing, the endurance of rock n roll music!!!

  • @mrwillthethrill1 Very interesting thought, yeah Andrew "produced" every stones record betweenn 1963 and 1967 , Andr
