i first met Gomez when i was in the gym, on the step machines doing my daily 5 min, he got on the 1 at the side of me and said "what you training for?", i said "boxin" but i didn't no who he was and id not even started sparring yet lol.. what a newb i felt, thort id share the story with you all...he said "how many fights you had?".. i said " iv not had any yet".. i finished my 5 mins and went on the rowing machine and his m8 came on my spot and they decided to do 20 mins like it was nothing.. :)

Alex Arthur - One of the most over rated, over hyped fighters in recent years. I never quite understood what everybody saw in him. Gomez exposed him brilliantly.

After watching the whole fight. I don't think AA got over that first left hook.Had an effect for the entire fight me thinks. Honestly though. thank fuck Guzman moved up in weight as AA is stiffer than Anna Nicole Smith and would have been brutally knocked out. Sort of remins me of a REALLY stiff Tony Willis. Make sense ? ?

I don't like Gomez' head movement, its not very effective when he bobs in a U shape constantly. That was one of the mistakes he made against Khan.

Other than that, tough guy, good fighter.

@IrelandRaven i disagree, i think it realy fucked amir khans timing up in the 1st couple of rounds. the movemnet stopshis openent getting hi seye in. shame its so tiring to do round after round.i cant disagree with you on gomezs toughness though, hes a hard man, and brave

@strabbs1 its true that headmovemnt fucks khan up, but gomez just moves in the same way constantly, he should roll in reaction to his oppoents punches or at least attempt to dempsey roll tyson style. also, all of that movement really saps you stamina, especially if your old and worn out.

i think gomez will be suprised on how hard khan punches, then again this will probably be the first time khan has stepped into the ring with a heavy puncher himself.all in all i say khan gets the win in the 8th
