ok first off he didnt bleed out right away because after being severed the arteries and veins constrict for a short period of time, if you notice after the TQ was put on and several minuets go by there is some non venous bleeding, they did a great job, they discussed their plan of action and put it into effect, they were determining if his airway was patent, determined a surgical cric was not needed, they got a 9 line up within five mins, evac in about 20, btw im a us army combat medic

Sometimes you miss 'em, and sometimes they get stepped on a few times before the plate trips (there is, after all, a little sand over there).
