@sergiomengual So do I, the mutants scattered around the map in Skirmish, the sound tracks, the sound effects (compare all the different gunfire sounds you can hear from the light infantry, to the barely audible sound of popguns in C&C3), the ability to create your own map. Another piece of proof that graphics don't make a better game. My only complaint about C&C 2 was the AI, in skirmish all they do is turtle.

@jordy885 no, they didn't change that, tiberium refers to the tiberium itself, tiberian is the adjective version. Both forms of the word were used in the first two games as well.

@clonescaller I don't believe so. The GDI were all about helping the mutants and integrating them back into society. Destroying them would have gone directly against everything they stood for. From what I recall the mutants ended up being a loose end that was never actually tied. According to the story there must be some left since Kane still has his own private battalion of cyborg mutants to protect him (you never see them, they're only referenced) but that's as far as it goes I think.

In other words, a very large amount of tiberium exposure in a limited amount of time. You can't "get rid" of an irregularity like that, as it can occur to any person who is unfortunate enough to not be killed by the tiberium poisoning. And many mutants were "violent" as a means of survival.

Westwood did so sweet game and added some new ideas in it:

Blue explosive tiberium - harvester bomb FTW! Random mutants - adds random events on battlefield. Flying infantry - it's new for the time. Stealth generator FTW too. Daylight model - though it's hard to see. Random map generator - no comm. Ice and ion storms, meteor storms and hover vehiches, etc. Main things - atmosphere and story. And superior balance: Strong and heavy GDI vs. fast and stealthy NOD.

This makes me think of a time when i was approaching my enemies base with the mammoth mk.2 and a whole bunch of titans, jugs, and wolverines. Not to mention disk throwers, light infantry, and orcas.

Some of the westwood people still work for EA, and some are in Petroglyph Games(the rest who dont work for EA, in a way its westwood studios lol, and their games arent that different from what C&C3 was)

I managed to get it running, I think in compatibility mode XP (Yea, no clue why, for it wasn't made for XP in the first place)

But it works, so now I can love C&C again. ^^ I find the cutscenesed of C&C 3 so fake. The game's ok, but at least hire some decent actors for ya game don't only go for the looks...

Yeah, nothing can compare to James Earl Jones and Joe Kucan trading threats in the first GDI mission.

The scene where Anton Slavik reunites the Brotherhod in the name of Kane is easily the best cutscene in the entire series.

This game is really fun: simple modding systems allow for new and un-buildable unit making and such, and plus the lighting and weapon effects = pure win

=D I'm glad they made this and firestorm, plus the maps! so cool =3, also I bet everone always wanted to play as the mutants and tiberian creatures as well as cabal (firestorm)

While it graphically is superior (d'oh, 10+ years difference) the creativity is incomparable.

Remember the Cyborg? Devil's Tongue? Mammoth (Mk1 of course)? And all the units I forgot about..

I think I'll restart this game, and just play it through again :)!

BTW, TWars to RA3 = GTA3 to GTA SA, don't you think?

Since this song comes late when you're fighting in Tiberium Sun, it sorta helps image the bodies and ruins of units that you have lost up to that point. Nice picture, fits well with the darkness in this song.
