Happened upon this video 2 or 3 years ago....first ever view of girl vs. boy high school wrestling...Turns out the video is still good to watch - thoroughly memorable content.

Great stamina and appreciable arm strength displayed by the winner...and she has solid wrestling skills too - finished the contest with her opponent's shoulders pinned to the mat and his butt in the air.

Wonder if the young woman went on to wrestle on a college team.

The girl's a talented, aggressive wrestler.

Great pin, skillfully applied...likely it's always hurtful to a guy's pride if pinned by a female, and real tough on the ego if she pins him like this. A pinning technique attractive for spectators to watch.

It's generally a helpless feeling when captured in a chicken wing...not an easy hold to apply though...numerous wrestlers never learn to do it well...can not develop the skill to keep both arms trapped.

I wrestled varsity that year (my senior year) and was one of 4 team captains. I never kept track of my record, but at that tournament i was 3-2 with 1 bye. I placed 6th out of 18; me being the only girl in the 112s bracket. Yes, there will be more videos posted soon. =)
