I was told by my aunt that we shouldn't get a bulldog or pug because both have a high risk of having heart problems. could somone tell me if this is true?

I think Bulldogs are the cutiest pups in the whole world. I love them. Reminds me of mine when she was little. I couldn't walk past her without touching her and kissing her. I still adore her and she's about 5 now. Sweet dogs!!!

Watchfromthewindow - Don't buy from a pet store, please. Pet store's get their dog's from puppymill's. Puppymill's are a terrible place.
Sure, it's cheaper now but down the road you will be paying out the ass in vet bill's. Your dog will be in constant pain by the time he/she is four.
Buy from a breeder who health tests. Someone who actually CARE about their dogs. Your dog will have a better tempermant and will live alot longer.
Please heed my warning.
