I'm sorry for the 8 month old response, but if you are still wondering why there are no Trombones it is because the band is using marching Baritones instead. Basically a trombone, just without a slide. You can produce the same sound on it as the trombone.

well i know But there different things you can do(such as gliss) and it more of an open and loud sound.

some people wouldn't agree, some think it gets "splatty " when its too loud, and that baritones produce a more even tone. But I'm in favor of both instruments.
