This is Janette Carter singing. Her brother Joe and her son Dale Jett are singing with her. This is one of her favorite songs. She was the daughter of A.P. and Sara Carter. She and her brother Joe started The Carter Fold in Hiltons, VA. I heard her sing this song a good many times and loved to see and hear her at Tennessee Fall Homecoming in Norris , TN. She is missed!!! Her son Dale Jett and his band Hello Stranger is a must.

Thank you so much for the info. I never heard Janette's sons sing. I have the On the Border and Acme Sessions. This is new to me and I will have to try to get some recordings for my collection.  I have an abiding admiration for AP Carter and respect for what he conceived.

I would have to do some really good listening to determine who else is on the recording besides Janette and Joe. It must be June and Johnny but I wouldn't bet on any of it. It is one of my favorite Carter songs - I like AP working the bass on their early versions too.
