I am not a socialist, but I do think that a good way of reducing inequality is through a progressive form of taxation where the wealthy will pay a higher percentage of tax and those on the bottom end of the economic scale pay nothing.

National socialism is not socialism, it proposes a type of fascism. the rich trick americans in to tapping into equity in their homes so they could take back and make people pay again for the homes they had, during the recession a home was reprocessed every 7.5 seconds and you say the rich do not trample the poor, congress voted against the bail-out and it happened anyway, the only people that socialism is bad for is the mega-rich bank owers who sit in their mansion an laugh at the rest

I would hardly call a country £1,000,000,0000 in debt, mainly due to walfare a success likewise, America, with its debt so high that if it completely abolished all spending except wellfare it couldnt pay its bills!

What you dont understand is Capitalism rewards the gifted, it dosnt penalise the weak.The rewards of rewarding the gifted are spread throughout society through lower prices, more availability & higher affordability.
3.It is fair if the market will tolerate it, somebody is paying that CEO.Workers can leave if they dont like the pay cut, if they have no alternative then the price they recieve for there labour is fair.

@moestietabarnak cont-- Eligible for the benefits I had recieved, and so I have been forced into debt for the first time EVER in my life by about 1,500 dollars and I make 500 a month (AND GO TO SCHOOL, pay rent/bills all that stuff). So, it's not that I don't believe we should help the needy to a certain extent, it's that in my personal experience, they fail too often, it's 50/50 whether you will be lucky enough to come out on top, or get fucked... Our CURRENT system subsidizes FAILURE

I know many people, who abuse government programs, all the way to the people, too proud to take assistance and in paying into a system that they refust to take back from, I know people who STAY on unemployment and turn down jobs cuz they make as much sitting at home... @moestietabarnak The problem is some of the very things people support are counter-productive towards the goal of raising the poor... The poor sometimes stay poor in order to keep pulling from the top... When minimum wage increases, so does inflation, which is a regressive tax (hurts the poor more), and destroys low level jobs (where are gas pump attendants? can't afford to hire them duh), that can help people pull THEMSELVES out of poverty. I like the idea of minimal help, but our system sux
