There's no comparison to the original by Bing Crosby. Even Frank idolized Bing and rightfully so as he new he wasn't even close to the level of talent that Crosby had. Sinatra was an evil man with an okay voice but nothing worth really mentioning. If you want to hear how it's suppose to be done play Bing's version.

This is what music should sound like. Old time songs have a lot of class and are really catchy. The music in this generation is nothing compared to this classical jazz. My grandma always talks about how the music 'back in the day' was more lively and had class. It had a nice beat followed with wonderful lyrics. A lot of today's music is trash compared to this jazz. :)

Respect to you. I am studying jazz at my highschool, and I love it way more than most of the more modern music we have today. A girl in my jazz band actually said "Oh yuck, we're playing blues" and it turned out she had no idea what blues was. She thought it was like old guys singing with a fake southern accent. Fortunately, she figured it out, and has no complaints now. Otherwise, I probably would have gotten pretty mad. I wish we were playing frank sinatra, but not yet. :(

Love the music, but the lyrics are the definition of "silly". So if I had been one of the world's best singers, I would probably have insisted on changing the lyrics before singing it, because I would've felt stupid as hell singing such crap. LOL.

For me the lyrics sum up Frank and all the other artists who did this song - they just like having fun. Plus, the song was written to scare kids into listening/going to school!
