  • @CharCharBeautified ohhh ok. I personally like to do five circles, then pause, then another five, then pause. The first time I repeat it 6 times, the next time i'll do it 7 times and so on. I think the idea is to adapt the exercise according to your stamina and increase it at your own pace

  • This works out your lower abs AND inner thighs as she just said. This is a killer workout and best of all EASY on your back. My gf lost 10lbs over 2 months of doing that in her legs and now she can't get enough of buying size S thongs and gstrings :D hehe

    lmao, because they are Flutter Kicks.

    Flutter comes from swimming. In the backstroke and freestyle (The two that are most common) you kick like that. lol and it's called Flutter Kicking.

  • Just try and breathe slowly and consistently.

  • try to take steady controlled breathes, if thats to hard then try something new and easier for you to do :)

    ive heard that running up stairs helps tone your legs, is that true?

  • If you want to tone your legs try fast walking, running, jumping with rope, some aerobics exercises, also light kickboxing is good.

    You can mix exercises like 5min. running + 5min. jumping with rope + 5min. aerobics and repeat it 3 times.

  • so this also works your lower abs? this would be just what i need...inner thighs n lower abs......what would be the best to do for luv handles? i just need to tone up a bit

  • lay flat on your back knees bent standard crunch postion. pretend there is an imaginary rope in the middle above your stomach. climb up the rope....do not let your sholder blades hit the floor do forty. or look up a video on it it might better explian. and also do forty with your legs straight up and over your butt. 4 there.

  • this is great but i'm a 17 year old and i'm a little over weight well i am by 32 lbs. and i have huge thighs belly and hips do you know how my repetitions i should do and how many times a day i run once i week for about 30 minutes i work out with weights for 30 minutes three times a week and i do bikes for about 35 minutes im really trying to get fit by this summer so could anyone who watches this help and give me some suggestions in my messages thanks:)

  • Manda, I suggest doing max reps until total failure. Keep doing sets of these (when strength training I do 6-8 sets, but thats with 3-5 reps with max weight and i'm no expert at scissor kicks) with only a very short break period (id suggest no more than 1 minute tops) When you focus on an area of muscles you need to hit it hard and fast, if the workout lasts longer than an hour your doing to much.

  • you can also try it with your hands under your head and your head lifted kind of like a sit-up.. it gives you a really good ab workout

  • QUESTION! why is this one a harder workout when you do the smaller kicks, but with the figure eights it's a harder workout when you do the wider circles.. it's pretty much the same thing, just the eights have more of a curve to it. o.O

  • Alessandra, to keep things simple try holding your arm straight out in front of you and just keeping it held there, then try pointing your arm straight up above you and holding it there. You will notice that holding it straight up is much easier than out and it's the same idea with the kicks. There is much more force acting down on your leg when it is straight out (don't you love gravity)
