I have one, it's so dirty. I play it through lightly overdriven amp and you feel more than hear how the notes are trying to cut through that massive dirt. That's amazing, can't get this feeling with any other pedal.

Someone pleassse comment on this. Me and me band have had problems trying to come up with a band name, but were thinking of calling it muff :L This has no way shape or form anything thats to do with vaj but we just thought it sounded cool. So at a gig if they say now coming on to the stage "muff", will everyone with kids leave in disgust? If you got a better band name thats less chlitorati based please give me a bell? :P

..I think the recording was being over-loaded...therefore the sound kinda fades in and out on the peaks.

Its a cool pedal...it has it advantages...but it does put out a signal that is "hard to contain" .

I think it had a dying battery... Which makes it sound that much more awesome. Or maybe the amp had a slight bit of overdrive already.. I find fuzzes in front of lightly driven amps can do that.

it sounds like that because the amp is slightly overdriven. Some like it , some don't. personally i prefer it that way when i play with one :P

Yeah, today I bought a vox ac100 and had the gain on a bit on the clean channel and but the big muff on and THATS how you get the tone he has. its really cool.

just got this pedal along with the ds2. big muff is great pedal. so it the ds2. i recomend them with an ibanez wh10. all 3 are great pedals.

Yeah, I hear a lot of bass players like the Russian Big Muff....this is the NYC one....uh but I will say you are most likely going to loose some low end if you are using a bass...they make a Bass Big Muff I hear is great.

it does sound good on bass but they do have a bass big muff pi which is what i use personally. its great for playing muse even tho chris the bassist from muse actually plays a russian big muff pi. the russian gives u a creamier tone. anyway theyve just got a couple muffs made more for bass.
