  • Hip Hop isn't dead. I hate that expression. Hip Hop is as alive as it's ever been, especially with expanding ways to discover and follow artists due to technology. If you can't find any good rap, it's not Drake's fault, it's yours.

  • This music was too powerful and increased your Melanin which makes us stronger, wiser and more spiritual -- too dangerous for the Nephilim seed. Your DNA starts to sync and your ills leave your body and soul -- so much power you feel like you can fly, spiritually you are, then you think, I AM A SOVEREIGN CREATED BY THE SOVEREIGN ONE!

  • @BrownEagle7 dammmmmmm..... kinda racist

  • REAL HIP-HOP!!

  • This song is the champagne of real hip hop. Pure, Clean, and Original.

  • No there isn't goodmusic like this unless if you look at the late 80's and thru the 90's even up to early 2000's but what happened to our music these last decade god only knows.

  • @SLICK1006

I know what happened to it

a dumbed down and self-absorbed consumer base.

BET/MTV peddles the bullshit, but the senseless teenyboppers (and those older people who want to "act" young) readily buy it up.

  • thats word!

  • @zapproowsdower thank you! best comment ever.

  • @zapproowsdower very good point

  • @zapproowsdower my thoughts exactly. Hip-Hop still lives. Since radio stations and music channels suck nowadays, ppl need to step into the 21st century and turn to the internet to find that good music again. Since I've been on youtube I've found some great current hip-hop music and artists that should be more explored. I know it's messed up to have to dig deep to find good music, but the radio stations and tv channels are not going to change.

  • No words can express how much I miss this.......real hip hop.

  • hiphop died a lil way before biggie you cant sit there and say that hiphop died after it had poblems ever since gangsta rap came out easy e and all that

  • Ski crushin as usual

their music is really good .

  • THIS is beast! love it!

  • music doesnt suck now by any means.... just dont look to the radio or mtv for the real artists... thats what sucks

  • THANK U!

  • NO. They don't want to feel special, just that THEY like real music despite their age.

  • smoke a blunt and chill to dis i b cruzin n mi 64 to dis shyt

  • I think they freestyle, cuz how could you even write some shit like this.

  • just that nasty flow son

  • THIS ONE IS HOT! SON!

  • " Shakin' ya block with the six million dollar BOP"

  • What's with all these people stating how old they are?

  • They are showing that they grew up in a different music era then most others. Im 18 btw and I think 2000k music sucks really bad..80's 90's all the way

  • So...They want to feel special?

  • See anything I should add, this play list has hidden gemz and it's for people like you - who like real hip hop:

(It's all one string of text after the youtube URL)

  • I'm 17 but nothing in the mainstream is worth appreciating anymore. The old school is the only place it's at.

  • Music is not a form of art anymore its a bussiness not just in hiphop either its a shame idont even listen to rap music anymore i gave up on it along time ago adivse you all to do the same ther is no cycle youll just be dissapionted

  • bullet, He said he has been listening to ATCQ = a tribe called quest

  • well since you guys are on a quality music tip, "A Tribe Called Quest". Look them up sk8tajay

  • It is great to hear all of yall younger dudes showing respect for the old school. I know u guys always hear that from us older cats, I am 34, but we are not telling you some bullshit. As you can see from the quality of groups like Camp Lo. People my age, etc., are relying on you guys to carry on tradition, as nas said. So I am supporting you guys. It ain;t really complicated. Just spit what you are really experiencing, like the rapper from Anthony hamilton. You guys can make your own GOLDEN AGE!

  • i am 14 yrs old ive been listenin to ATCQ, black sheep, camp lo,pete rock, 9th wonder

im sayin that i look for beats in the music and i compared todays music with back in the 90's and i perfer the 90's cuz todays rap doesnt know that if ur gonna make hip hop it has to be somethin dealin with the beat and with the words

its not all hooks and dances its about makin somethin that fans enjoy and this song is all i listen to on my ipod

  • i also ment to mention the best of the best slick rick

  • yeah son i'v gotten deep into the old school as well. i was around ur age when a big homie told me to listen to some old 90's music. im glad i got into cuz old school hip hop is music for the soul.

  • omg same

    part from im nearly 16

any new music sounds the same

im havin trouble tellin the differene between any mainstream genres/bands now

  • Thats cool, my kids are the sam way and they are 10 and 8 yrs old. lol Im 33. We (older ones) were blessed to live through this era. I think HH is going thru a cycle. Hopefully and I think it will come back to good status in the mainstream this coming decade (2010s) . Peace out, kid. : )

  • LOL... I'm proud of you man... There's hope that music wont die with the mindless numbness coming right about now...

    Cheers

  • You're off to a good start with the the Real Hip-Hop and not the Industrial Hip-Pop. Come pass my channel... I listen to a bit of everything and you will find some Real Hip-Hop on my channel

  • Camp lo is classic... kind of underground eventhough they had videos...but the sound is one of a kind. I can listen to all of Uptown Saturday Night without skipping around..because this music is quality. I have a younger brother that lives in a world that Soulja boy is apart of hip hop. This is real music, and I do believe without USN....hip hop would have dropped tremendously after PAC AND B.IG. passed. Camp lo should have been promoted right...we missed out on alot of true music

  • this was and still is tha JAM!!

  • damn this shit still be rockin!!!..LOL...aww what happened people...somebody please rewind the clock back to the 90's..

  • True that!! I was playing B-ball listening to Camp Lo on the stereo!!

  • this is amazing~

  • classic smooth track, i coast thru highway lanes while this one plays

  • i love this cd

  • not hating on this great track, but it kinda sounds like you left this cassette on the dashboard of your car in the sun one too many times

  • kind of reminds me of the pharcyde, great song

  • this join makes me sad , cus it reminds me of better days , you feel me?

  • mos def

  • hell yeah. a lot a song hit me like that.

  • Timeless...it definitely makes you reminisce on all the good times you miss. I personally feel that culture (music, movies, sports, etc.) were much more captivating 5, 10 years ago and I am only 20 years old now. I can embrace modern stuff but it does not come close to what music used to be...

  • Yeah same here bro... I am aslo 20... and what you just said... I couldn't have said it better!! I also listen to songs of the 70's like earth wind and fire, the chi-lites, blue magic, commodores and many more...

  • mean that is so true lol I'm 21 and music just ain't the same men

  • arab world inna house of didi dadi da

  • this is the jam

one of the smoothest songs on the album

  • Hot underrated cd, and that was my shizzle right there.

  • Hip hop is blessed to still have cats like these around!!!!! Just the beat and the lyrics is all you need.....These cats iz talented!!!!!!

  • i likes this album im glad i still own it.i noticed through most of the songs they talk about wine and champagne a lot lol.

  • classic

  • This is a beautiful song period...the whole cd is excellent

  • My brother used to play me dis song when i was real little. I still listen to it today. A real Hip-Hop classic.

  • this is the direction the music should've gone in

  • you damn right! listen to how the beat progresses when they flowin, what in the hell happened to these guys, they had such a good style, should've done more with it.

  • they did a second album..... it was tight too but it just never caught on....bad promotion I guess

  • Jazzinaz!!!

  • Classic album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What eva this was a slept on Album/CD.. The production was hotter than the Lyrics. My Man Doodle Bug from Digable Planets I believe broke these dudes. Cooley High, The Joint with De La..Track 6 was dope.. Ahead of the Gane with the 70's References lost young cats! Do your history yougins!!

  • It was Butterfly from Digable Planets. He was on the track "Swing" with Suede

  • Lad. This is some smoothed out dopeness right here. Pity this and Luchini are the only joints worth checking on that album.

  • Check out Negro League, Krystal Karrington, and Swing and if you feel the same way after you check those songs give me a negative and respond but if you like those songs give me a positive and respond

    No BEEF just curious

  • Lad. Krystal Karrington is ok. Just don't think this album delivers altogether. Have you peeped Cal Tjader's 'Leyte' for the samples used on this? Pete Rock uses it on the INI album. Some real dope latin ish.

  • Nah ima check that out today

    Much Love homie

  • There is some serious homophobia going on on this board. Hats, lay off the brothas. Damn.

  • Make that "hatas."

  • Yo for all yall that think camp lo is gay think AGAIN HERBS!!! 3 WORDS COOLIE HIGH ERA... Yall dont understand. BX 718 STAND UP! (watch all the haters. N!ggas don't wanna see NY SHINE! BUT IF IT WASN'T FOR THE BRONX THIS RAP S!HT PROBABLY NEVER WOULD BE GOING ON, SO TELL ME WHERE YA FROM!) YA DIGG!

  • I read your response and had to log on, you hella right, I love you for that, for real, fools need to recognize that East Coast shit is smooth, niggas can't touch Bronx, keep tellin them

  • yo, i got a story about that fo real. they came here to greensboro, n.c. back in 05 right. they did a show at this sports bar. me and some of my friends were chilling at this gas station down the street from the sports bar. camp low pull up in a rented camry and sonny cheeba gets out the cars dressed like a straight homo. this nigga had on some tight ass pants and a fuzzy sweater that stopped right below his belly button. when you see a nigga wear something like that in public it make you think.

  • LMAO @ imagining that nigga in his sweater. I always thought they looked like fags in the Luchini video when they were in the backseat. Especially Cheeba. The dude had on some fruity scarf shit.

  • Man, ya'll do realize their style of dress emulates the 70s style, right? There were a whole bunch of catsback in the day woh wore stuff like that. You don't have to wear camo pnats and a holey T-shirt to be down.

    Hatas.

  • with that said..... i still like camp lo though. atleast they didn't kiss a nigga in public like some people.

  • nah bruh i dont think they gay at all

  • they trippin...they both got wives and children....

  • I'm huge fan as well.

  • Shit them my boys. I wasn't hatin, being gay aint no crime or a reason not to like an artist. All I'm sayin is I'm a homo-thug Top and would never wear some of the shit they do.

  • he said undercover faggot lovers dig my satin struthers dude, listen

  • And?

  • Time to shake a leg, and get up in the whip! lol

  • i love these guys thanks for the song i miss the 90's lol^_^

  • I love the way Geechi Suede says "keepin it nappy lol"!

  • dey not talkin bout themselves dummy

  • Hold my razors buku

  • My favorite Camp lo song there is.....When Jigga say its hot its hot!!!

  • damn ..this track got me swayin ...

time for new camp lo ish...

    kill ugly radio

  • do you always listen to a single line when you listen to a song? smh...stop listening music.

  • no, they didnt say they were

  • Dude, Geechie Suede and Sonny Cheeba are about as heterosexual as they come, really now.

  • omg ya

  • Is it just me, or is there alot of references to their other songs?

  • 8/10

  • it sux that people can't feel jams like this see if we could just SLOW DOWN just alittle kick bac for a while ,this song is on for me

  • Hold my razors buku!

  • Let get it on point...!!!

Camp do have a Reaand Ghost combination, but their songs can't be compaired...

Camp were like Tribe, ahead of their time with BANGING BEATS!!!

While Ghost and Rea brought a simlar style, but made it RAW and GUTTER with Rza's beats!!!

Both of them contribute to the Legacy...

But if you really wanna discuss something, someone tell me who they thought was the easiest and hardest to follow what they were saying out of the 4 rappers, crazy flows... lol

  • LUV THESE DUDES:)

  • wu tang is whack! this is the shit!

  • camp lo is so fuckin unique......! ain't no comparison ...
