53K hits! You need to put up more vids--and I've got a great idea. I used to go to a Taiwanese restaurant near Chicago, it was actually in a mini-mall of Chinese restaurants. This place made a great bow, but it wasn't a wheat dough bow, it was more like a glutenous rice wrapper. After steaming they would take scissors and cut a cross into the top, open it up a bit, then put a thin soy based sauce over it. It was amazing.
With parents from Taiwan I figure you might know of this bow.
@KikyoChanXD I dont like calling anything vegetarian fake meat.. Its just vegetables, soy, tofu, veggies, cream cheese, you can use anything that tastes good as a filling.
@KikyoChanXD I've never tried fake meat but I'm sure it would be a fine substitute. Since fake meat is already cooked, you don't have to boil the wontons as long. Just enough to get it heated up all the way through.
Hi everyone, I haven't been very active lately but was thinking of putting up some more HOW TO videos. Any Chinese recipes you're interested in seeing?
I usually get a brand called Xin Xiang Gang (New Hong Kong). There's a picture of a ship on the wrapper. Definitely avoid thin wrappers. If they don't break when you're wrapping them, they'll break when you boil the wontons. Plus I don't think they taste as good.
Thank You, thank you! there are so many different ways of folding them but I found this one the easiest. Thanx for posting this video. This was so helpful. I have to make a ton of them for a party and now I know they will look nice :)
Thank you for the nice and simple clear instructions. I got lazy over the years and just scoop a teaspoon in the middle then squish it like a badmington shuttle cock. I will give this a go.
thank you i enjoy your video i will learn alot watching how to fold the wonton mine looks like flower in the middle my husband loves it hahha i will try yours also thanks

What thickness are your won ton wrappers? I went for the thin ones recently and had some issues with them tearing.
Thanks for the great vid!
