  • Without any make up? man she i so pretty chisato have such a lovely voice!

  • beautiful!

  • This is AMAZING!!! It reminds me of Yaguchi Mari (Well... would it be the other way since she came first?)

  • This is SO GOOD!!!

  • she's so pretty in all aspects!

  • she is great!!!! love it, thanks for sharing :D

  • i like ayaya's voice more but this version sounds better to me :/ this girl's amazing...she wrote the song, sang the song, and played the instrumental to this song :O

  • Both of these singers have different rendation of this song, and both of them give justice as well, these are few Japanese singers i admire coz of the sweetness of their voices.....

  • Aya Matsuura or Moritaka Chisato, I would have married either one of them if I had a chance.........

  • i hope i could know the chords!!of the recorder!

  • is that the same bridge on Matsuura Aya video?

  • I like the sound of the recorder better in this version. Wood > Plastic.

  • I like Ayaya's version better, but I respect those who disagree.

    Both versions are wonderful :)

  • Moritaka version is better. It reminds me when I was young.

  • To be fair, Matsuura Aya's version sounds better simply because modern audio technology is much better at polishing the final product.

This is pure unrefined music. No mixers. No synthesizers. No software to correct your pitch. Much better, IMHO.

Besides, her recent live performance during FNS Kayousai 2009 trumps any of the H!P covers. She's still pretty at the age of 40 and her voice aged nicely.

  • She and Aya Matsuura belong same music company.' Up-Front Agency '

She wrote this song ,after walk along Watarase Bridge, and imagine separate lover. This version is little rough, but very emotional. I was touched.

  • je prefere la version Aya Matsuura

  • Super une très belle voix

  • I havnt seen this before... so she wrote that song... Ive only seen it preformed by Aya Matsuura...

    1193... huhhhh!

    YAY!!! i learned something new!

  • i like this one better :P

  • Aya's is more polished & commercial but I think this version is more honest as it should be since she is singing her own song. To each his (or her) own. It's all good.

  • she reminds me of yoshizawa hitomi a little bit.

  • @munerere she reminds me of yaguchi mari

  • Comment removed

  • This was a great era

  • Nice PV , Thanks

  • mp3 of this anyone?

  • oh wow, she's so cute!

  • hey... wouldn't it be cooler if she played a saxophone instead?

  • They don't have many singers like Chisato anymore~ and sadly when she came out with this song I was only a few months to a year old. (I was born December 10, 1992)

I think the only other singers I can apply in the same group as her, is probably Utada Hikaru, and Ueto Aya. And Takahashi Ai, and Abe Natsumi =]

  • meh... it sounds more like yuko nakazawa and aya matsuura are the ones better qualified in the same group as her.

  • There's no one like Chisato. Thanks for posting this.

  • LOL! I thought aya matsuura is the original composer of this song ..

but damn! .. I love aya matsuura but .. wow the original is soooooooo much better

  • omg.. me too, after all these 4 years.. XD

what? she played all of the instruments? great great great!!

  • @turtalako I also thought Aya was the original composer of this song. I happened to come across this version by chance. Glad I did. She's a wonderful singer and pretty, too.

  • Totally Execelent

  • ...wayback my years in japan,kioskite kudasai...cheeers...!!!!

  • i dont know matsuura's version but i love this one and momoko's so much...both voices are perfectly fitted for it and they sing with so much heart ... wonderful T___T

  • its a very nice song!!

  • This song is a good example of how her songwriting skills improved later in her career. The bridge alone (no pun intended) is a masterful piece of work, much less the whole tune.

  • its good to look her face when she is singing

    awesome singer

  • Thats why I like Japanese singers they dont sing from the diaphram only

    They sing in their HEARTS

  • a huge fraction of japanese music by females today isn't of this quality anymore =(. they rely more on technology and instruments and not pure talent. gone are the days of doco, moritaka chisato, koizumi kyoko, and the prime years of sakai noriko and kudo shizuka.

  • I Agree with you

  • I think you´re wrong about that. The quality is almost better right now, it´s more clean. Of course it´s a lot of technology and instruments but that´s what makes it almost magical. And if you listen to for example Miyavi, Aya matsuura, Utada hikaru and Ayaka live yu´ll see that there is pure talent even now.^^,

  • LOL MIYAVI. Miyavi does not = Talent. Especially not pure talent.

  • miyavi is a good guitarist, no doubt. but he cant sing :/

  • I do not know your age, but I think, you're right. I am 36 and the performers you have listed are now roughly of my age. Maybe they just made songs in the style we remember from our childhood? I love japanese songs, especially those performed by persons mentioned by you. And for me these songs are of much, much better quality than todays pop. Have you heard Ayaka Hirahara? I call her japanese Enya, but more beautiful (for me, i have a crush for pretty Japanese women ;-) ).

  • oic...i love her song...

  • is this an old song sang by aya matsuura??

  • Moritaka Chisato is the ORIGINAL singer and writer of this song. This song was released in 1993, whereas Aya Matsuura remake of the song was done in 2004

  • and I love both songs. As I recall(not totally sure) they did a movie on this singer with Aya Matsuura playing her.

  • i love this song

  • One of my favourites. This is very beautiful and she is playing all the instruments by her self. I like Aya Matsura 's version of this song too.

  • thank for uploading!^^

  • Very cool, thank you for sharing with everyone.

  • Good job!

  • she is really talented. I love the way she plays the recorder.

  • The recorder part is really lame imo but otherwise this is better than the new version.

  • A classic song that will never be forgotten. I like the other versions, but I LOVE the original.

  • She looks so pretty and calm as she's singing... Such a beautiful song.

  • she sings as if she were having a cold.

  • Actually, most Japanese tend to sing like that because they sing naturally and from the heart, and not from the diaphragm, which is a Western method.

  • Singing with the theoretically proper technique doesn't mean you aren't "singing from the heart", but this is still interesting and makes sense I guess.

  • Actually, singing from the diaphragm is proper, and I still sing from the heart even though I do. You can still sing from the diaphragm and sound nasally anyway. There are just too many vocal techniques to count, but the best ones are the ones that will not damage your voice! So if Chisato-san is not hurting her voice, why does it matter?

  • She is the best for singing this song!!!

  • The song and performance are a masterpiece. Her voice, her music, all of it is perfect. As usual with a talent like Moritaka Chisato.

  • I love this song. Both this and Ayaya's version alike.

Released just 12 days after I was born too..

  • Hm. This is quite a bit faster. Hm. I like them both. I think that Momoko-chan did a good job with this song too. ^_^

  • Chisato's version has a faster beat. I think they are both good. Aya has a sweeter voice though and her version sounds more modern. At the climax of the song they both sound weak. It doesn't sound as dramatic as it seems it should.

  • Hi thanks for your comment but I think I'll have to disagree with the climax part. I think the "weakness" is what make Chisato's voice and singing unique. But then I'm biased, heh...

  • Is the best version, absolutely!

  • This song is so pretty, but I think that Ayaya's version is better.

umm...Now I can play a part from this song on the recorder!

  • excellent. <3

  • I think this version is the best...plus I like the ad at the end heheh

  • very good song, soft and gently.

    go moritaka!!

  • momokos ver is the best :D lol

  • well... she sings great! Aya does really good though... the flutes are better with the song...

  • its a recorder!! not a flute

  • Really? I think Chisato sings it with more passion because she wrote the song, but Matsuura Aya has a better voice.

  • Hey~ She sings it better than Aya.

Haha. Maybe 'cuz it's her song xD

  • I like both version but the original touch me first : )

  • Nice song! Her voice is very pleasent.

  • how old is dis?

  • The single was released January 25, 1993

  • I like this song with Aya Matsuura, but this version

    ( the original)too it's cool.

  • That makes sense. They sound alike.

  • Bwaa I love this song by Aya Matsuura! I had no idea it was a cover of this:O

  • It´s so beautiful !
