  • The 464 was a pain because of the tape drive, which was not really completely removable so had to work around it, dirt was caked onto the motherboard :o(

  • Lovely job you did on that. I still love my 6128.

  • Nice work cleaning it though and I hope you can get it repaired. I first used a CPC464 at a friends place in 1984, but it took me until 1987 before I bought my own. I had the most amazing time with that computer right up until 1993. I was more into being a musician by then and moved onto the Atari STE. I currently have a CPC6128 though which is great.

  • Cool! Now, be honest - did you get in the bath at the same time?

  • @RetroBob2084 Ha ha no, but aside from being dirty it is broken :(

  • @RetroBob2084

Well the ports do not clean themselves you know! :-D

  • it looks immaculate

  • Nice computer! I want one.

  • Ah, what a wonderful sight - not just a CPC 6128 but a clean CPC 6128!

My first computer - will always be special to me as I used it pretty much every day from 1986 up until 1990/91. Whenever we move back to the UK purchasing this bad boy will be very high on the list of priorities! :)

  • @bluetonic78 It's a system I've wanted for a while. I hope it works :)

  • Wow this really looks like an almost brand new machine! First time a saw a CPC 6128 from the inside!

Some people have atrocious computer manners. Actually quite good that you opened it up and made the wrongs right again. :)
