This is one of my favorite songs despite the state it puts you in during and after listening to it. I just listened to Adele's version and it just doesn't cut it like this one. There's an extra element in the deliberate slowness with which Bonnie Raitt sings it -- as if she's trying to extend the time. Adele, on the other hand, seems to hurry her way through it.
