  • @killerbee2100 make an Anderson shelter. It was developed by an Englishman for shelter during wWW1 or 2, not sure which. look to bour right and there's a link.

  • hey Reggie i have been watching your videos and have found them fasinating would cane work to build that shelter instead of bamboo i live in England so i don't really have any resources.

  • @outdoorguy789 Yes my friend it should.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @JordanDinstrumentals Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • This is crazy I live in central NC too and I just spent the last 8 hours building a shelter then of corse you build an even better one in no time at all. I'm jealous I think I'll build one like this tomorrow. Good work.

  • @b4773ry3 Just on my free time friend.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • Dude, the fireplace inside your debris hut was beast!!! That was awesome!!!!

  • @hingie haha Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • Have you ever considered a career as a USAF SERE specialist? I think you would enjoy it, good video.

  • @therunningwolf15 I have looked into it my friend and doubt i would make it in.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine Is there anything phyisically disqualifying you or is that just your opinion that you wouldn't make it?

  • @therunningwolf15 I don't think i would make it my friend compared to them my skill level is very low.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine I think you might be confused about it, SERE is a school, there job is to teach you, the most important thing to have is determination. Compared to alot of applicants, your "skill level" is high, I know a guy that has never been camping before he started the tech school, he is now a SERE specialist. Know a girl that is going through the training right now. The balls in your court, what you do with it is up to you, but don't count yourself out.

  • @TheGods1marine They do train you how to do everything in Military roles

  • You shouldve taken off your watch before you made the mud

  • @Trquis haha Yeah that would probably been a good idea my friend.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • are you like the only white kid in china, lol how do you have so much bamboo?

  • @Yomyoayotyot haha I don't live in china my friend i live in the USA, North Carolina

    ,Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine i live on bragg in north carrlina

  • @sithhangout Thats great my friend!

  • Your a genius Id never thought of anything like this, all I've been able to make was a decent teepee (not finished 100%.)

  • @AnceintWoods Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • This is an amazing video! Thank you very much! I was going to build a shelter like this as part of a bet I had with my girlfriend that I couldn't last one week without supplies. I'm allowed a camp shovel, Shotgun (with 50 shells), and knife (has fire starting kit inside). I will make a video of my week long survival whenever I decide to post it (Maybe in early March?) Thanks again!

  • @BackwoodsArsenal That sounds fun my friend just make sure you have a cell phone in case something goes wrong.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine Don't worry I will!

Meanwhile, you keep making these videos =D

  • @BackwoodsArsenal ithink your women just wants you out of the house for a week

  • @xXP0EDUNKXx Haha, thats a possibility...

  • I'd like to see you make a dug in earth shelter Reggie! That would be interesting.

  • @FeralTyneMan I dont know if i have the land for that my friend but i look into it

    Thanks, Reggie

  • your dog is so obedient! It sits when you sit and follows you when you get up.

  • @DWProductions87 haha Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • I live in Colorado, in kinda a scrubby, deserty area, with not alot of trees except for some Junipher and small Pines, with some little sage brushes in the mix too. So we couldn't exactly make a fair enough shelter outta that. So, my uncle Joe used to dig HUGE underground tunnels, big enough for about two adults!!!!!!!!!! You should really try it some time :)

  • @blaxicat2005 That sounds pretty awesome my friend Thanks, Reggie

  • Nice videos you got. But i think you should consider a new and better camera, with so many views and followers.

Anyways, keep up the work, and oh btw, subbed :)

  • @Snopphooy Thank you my friend and i just received my new hd camera in the mail the other day, Check it out on my facebook.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • Came from Reddit, glad they did, this videos are awesome plus useful been watching everything! love it :)

  • @MKidYup Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • howcome you are wearing acu's? You don't look old enough to be in the service? They do make great all purpose pants cause of the pockets though.

  • @redlinebiker89 Yes my friend i find that they make very outdoor pants

    Thanks, Reggie

  • Someone linked to your channel on reddit. I've now been watching your vids for the past 2 hours. Interesting and awesome. Subbed!

  • @icanhazbongos Thats great my friend Thank you

    ,Reggie

  • @icanhazbongos exact same situation man. Cant stop watching this guys stuff. Im not even a survivalist and its still interesting.

    Narwhal bacons at midnight man.

  • Nice vid man. I built a similar shelter with my friend when we were your age

  • @wildyflyfisher Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • nice video but i have a question how old are you?

  • @MrMinthus Thank you my friend and im 16 turning 17 this march.

    Reggie

  • I luv your video how did yoou getb all the bamboo

  • @JBrosize Thank you my friend and it grows out in my woods

    ,Reggie

  • thought about putting something over the top of the fireplace to stop rain falling in?

  • @badlad1996 Very little rain would get in so i did not give it much thought.

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • How long time did you use for this? Looking good

  • @271cKris I ended up taking this shelter down and the others also so i could move my camp.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • whare do you get all this bamboo???

  • @AskMyShotgun It grows wild and very fast around here my friend.

    Thanks, Reggie

  • ok one day i use sandstone on a campfire ...yeah.... BOOM!!!!.

  • @heatedhonda1 Thank you my friend i will be more careful.

    ,Reggie

  • mix clay cow poop and hay and you have a brick hard solution

  • @Mr556x45mm never thought of that my friend

    Thanks, Reggie

  • @Mr556x45mm you're right id be mad if the leaves burned me out of my house

  • love the german sheph... :)

  • @spydermonkey281 She is a good dog

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • Dude, you know how to have fun, and i love all your vids!!! Also you are lucky to have ALLLLL that bamboo to play with. Keep it up, and i will keep watching! subbed also

  • @killergreen1984 Thank you my friend i am very blessed

    ,Reggie

  • Hey Bud, I was thinking about your video with all that bamboo you had and wanted to suggest that you try using some zip ties to build a solid structure with way less material. I saw this guys video and really liked how he used the zip ties to build a really solid roof. you know they have stainless steel zip ties as well that would prob last a long time in the woods. Keep up the good work- AZ do a search for "bushcraft survival long term wilderness shelter" lemme know what you think

  • @mooseboy66 Thank you my friend ill do that

    ,Reggie

  • @marinskater Thank you my friend ill remember that

    ,Reggie

  • strong wood dr.jones

  • @skiie Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • The wheel barrel is the first thing I've seen in your videos that you did not build. You're very resourceful.

  • @leongaines Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • i saw a cordless drill in the background! lol just messing

  • @spunky232 haha thank you my friend ,Reggie

  • What a lovely dog :D

  • @Pahgon haha Thank you my friend

    ,Reggie

  • i wouldnt consider bamboo wood but then again i live in Colorado we have pine allover

  • @zippozaney123 Very true my friend

    ,Reggie

  • Nice little shelter, but doesn't seem authentic when it comes to survival situations. No offense. Too "modernized" with the wheelbarrow, axe, ropes, BBQ grill bars, etc, etc, etc.

  • @CuddlyBird This is not a over night survival shelter but a "Semi - Permanent Shelter" so its going to take some time and tools to build.

Here is a video that i think you are talking about : /watch?v=LvGiBMovDH4&list=UU7s5WAyhEdqv-huwhR0HjVA&index=6&feature=plcp

    Thanks my friend, Reggie

  • i like this vedio as well... but where did u get that much wood? did u go and buy it, or did you spend all those hours finding the perfect sticks??

  • @thewildhunter10 Hi, I will spend hours hiking all over the place and as i find good building material i will keep it and bring it back to my camp, After a while it adds up. Also this is not a shelter that your going to build in a few hour. This shelter took me about three days to complete. Hope this helps my friend and thank you

    Reggie

  • Well done dude very cool.

  • What can I use instead of bamboo? I got Palm trees

  • Whats a substitute for leaves?

  • This was creative. Thanks for the video.

  • u TWAT

  • @jraybu09 Your right this is not a "permanent shelter" it is a "(Semi) - Permanent Shelter"

    *read the title

  • @TheGods1marine nice! good work bro!

  • @TheGods1marine what kind of dog is that he/she is very pretty

  • @jraybu09 well he is the best person ime subscribed to also SEMI-PERMANENT AN DONT START ON ME COS IME 10 YEARS OLD SO SUCK ON THAT

  • how do you harvest bammboo from a bamboo tree (cause i have one)

  • how long did it take you to make it

  • Hi gods1 um I have a woods with a very uneven suface do you know how I can build a shelter in that (ps theres not any steep hills its just a little hilly).

  • owoooooooooooooooooo ok

  • That's a real good placement choice and design for your fireplace and hearth.

  • oh and another thing...until you actually serve...take those ACU bottoms off

  • I always bring a strap and a wheel barrow when I am trying to be out in the wilderness

  • dude make it taller cause i like being able to stand up in the morning

  • va has both caheck are vids

  • you should have taken off you watch

  • the perfect shelter... for ants and there nests

  • its propuly better then yours penqiunwee

  • dude pine and bamboo i love bamboo fastist growing plant at 3 inchs per day and extremly usefull

  • Dude I wish I had a place I could build stuff without people knocking it down

  • Man I wish this guy still made videos. anybody know what happened to his vids?

  • Those were the days and then you got to get a job and responsibilities!! Enjoy it while it last!

  • how do u start a fire in a wood shelter??//

  • @stephaniealisonfoss Are you asking how to start a fire? Or are you making a smart ass remark about having a fire in a shelter built with wood? Keep in mind, people in wooden log cabins had fireplaces for years.

  • lousiana has both pines and bamboo. Pretty big stuff too.

  • muito bom mesmo filho Deus te a bencoe

  • 9:20 nigloo :P

  • @69smartie69 Isn't that an African hut?

  • ur fireplace building tactic is how the chinese astually built parts of the great wall

  • @eggorey what on top of an oven rack ? i didnt know that !

  • @justwired lol no not the oven rack. they mixed grass with dirt and water and used it as cement in some parts of the great wall

  • idealy remove the fireplace front wall that will be inside the shelter for a grill :D

  • wear did you get the bamboo

  • how old is he

  • bamboo is like the best construction tool ever.

  • wait you said you took yours down to build it up again for us...do you live in that then?

  • Looks like a good place to sit in the mud when it rains

  • @kram2311 Ya well kinda no getting away from that in the woods, thats why some of the best stuff you can buy for survival are good boots and warm cloths.

  • do you make your string or do you buy it

  • out here in guam we have ample stuff to use, there many palms and a tree called tangan tangan thats fricken everywhere.

  • south arkansas u aint got much to work with here... :(

  • that aint bamboo its cane pole

  • thanks i went to camp and our tent fell and got on fire then i did this thanks

  • about how long did it take you to build the whole shelter?

  • London here. Love the accent

  • hey i live near you i think cuz i live in nort carolina and where i liver there is alot of bamboo and pine...

  • I wish I could build one of these but I live in treeless Kansas:(

  • U should flatten the ground around the front of it and dig a ditch around it for rain so it don't go in it

  • this is a great shelter! i love the fire place, do you think i should wait till fall to build my own? i live in east TN -Roger

  • "I get right bak with ya"

  • I would build the chimney so the hole is out the side, I live in Oregon and the weather here Is really wet almost all year round. for a fire pit like that to work in most places with wet or harsh winters the hole needs to come out the side to allow the fire place to not get soaked and also heat might escape with a pit like that.

  • horrible knots my friend!

  • i would be scared of a big copper head

  • can u make a video on how to make it a littlebigger and why do u use bamboo

  • are you using baling twin ant all on the shelter?

  • Is that
