i know do u have to kind the combos early in the game to make it work because i tried it again and i dod not even go pass a number and still doesnt it work. So my question is do i have to find the combinations to make the safe work

@Viperwatcher2 I've been following the walkthrough since I picked the game up again about a week ago, and the only thing I'm doing differently is never fleeing fights and lingering in heavy combat areas for about 5-10 mins longer. Just by doing that I'm at level 26 going into the Lost Number fight. You can gain about 2-3 levels just in the Gi Cavern alone.

@AsianAfro Good move, Part way through this walkthrough I was trying to make a point about no need for overleveling. Granted, maybe that point was lost and lot of people take it as "He doesnt know what hes doing" In any case....whatcha gonna do ya know?

@Resobaso Possible, I see no reason to flee from battles only cause the ratio or percentage of running away(as you have shown throughout the videos) can take awhile. I also follow my own saying in RPG's "Better to be overpowered and kicking major ass, then be underpowered and making a boss that isn't hard waaaay challenging". Cause this game(my first RPG and FF game I ever played) sorta burned that into my brain.

Either way, different strokes for different folks. :)

@jagr06 ill be real with you, it really depends on the game, Final Fantasy VII doesnt really make too much of a call to be leveled extra high, so running away (to me at least) doesn't bother me THAT much.

Now if we were to look at a game Like Lufia or Dragon warrior, then Id NEVER run away because the cost of running away goes far beyond the hassle of actually escaping.

@Resobaso I know FF7 and the final boss is easy with the right set ups, I'm just a odd ball when it comes to FF or even RPG games where I love leveling up and grinding. It's weird cause grinding can often be looked on as boring but I just feel like in the end my characters will get the most out of these battles. I have been known to run away from battles though. It's just sometimes it's not easy. Smoke Bombs in this game(and legend of dragoon) make escaping a massive breeze though. :)

ummmm...heres my comliant: i did the code properly. didnt skip the numbers. and doesnt work. maybe its the part that im using a psp. FOR THOSE WHO FOUND OUT THE HINTS TELL ME! Here they are:

1:The lid of the box with most oxygen.

2:Behind the Ivory's short of tea and ray.

3:The creek in the floor near the chair on the second floor... then to the left 5 steps up nine steps, left 2 steps, and up six steps.

what i have not been able to do with the cure2 or anything type of lvl heal is heal my whole party at once. i want to ask how you do it. but then again i have the pc version of the game. but still tell me how you do that? o.O ill find out by converting the keys.

wow i just beat him.... i did it with my alt file. lvl 29, 27. and 28 cloud, tifa, and aeris. i did all phsical attacks then when he went to the form of attacks i used clouds summon i think its called infris or somthing like that and ended him in one move. battle was ,like less then 30secs

nice guide, i have the pc versoin of this game. and iam still looking for the combo but i didt know about the going pass the number overshots it. i should beat him when i do this in about a min. iam like in the 30's with most of my chara's

you may be underlvl or i may be ovewr powered o.O ha. i grind cause i find a part i cant get past but. even tho your underlvled your pretty awesome at what to do. iam just awesomely powerful killing things in 2 to 3 hits ;)
