You are judging the values of that society i.e criminal and penal system through the prism of American and modern western values. Homosexuality/adultery are crimes in most parts of the world including Virgina and Texas. The united sates is one of the biggest executioners in the world. Instead of stoning let us look at child abuse since it is more substantive in the day to day lives of everyone,1 in 4 kids will be sexually abused before they reach 18 in America. That is a more damming injustice

@hayman4548213 As someone who has lived in both countries it's an unquestionable truth that Iran is a much more egregious violator of simple human rights. You can throw stats around all day but it's really night and day. The U.S. has some human rights issues to address, but Iran executes more people per year than any country other than China. Mass torture, mass rape of dissidents, public stoning (which is not a part of Persian values!), and summary executions are the crimes of evil evil men.
