Biggie was definitely nowhere even close to being as good as 2Pac. Here's what everybody should know... Biggie was the better rapper only in terms of flow, lyrics, rhymes, However, he could NEVER make music like 2Pac did. Pac's lyrics were so much deeper & poetic that would challenge listeners to think. Also, 2Pac had to sacrifice flow in order to make emotional/poetic songs.
Okay, so why does Biggie have TWO classic albums to his name, while Pac has none? Why has Biggie only made three bad songs IN HIS CAREER, while Pac has HUNDREDS of bad songs? Pac´s lyrics weren´t deep at all, nor were they poetic when you compare them to Kweli´s, Mos Def´s, Nas or Common´s lyrics. Pac was average when it came to lyrics, rhyming, flowing, delivery, beat selection, he was damm near schizofrenic saying "Keep Ya Head Up" and then say "I get around".

There's a different level of rappers. Tupac lyrics was a direct hit. His music lives on because the words are real and there's no clues in between. Tapac, Ice cube, Snoop dogg, Ice T & many more are direct words that don't need to be shuffle around. Just because you got famous rapping about drugs doesn't mean drugs is always a topic. Talk about the good times and bad times but if your music hits good then they people will respond.

Biggie was definitely nowhere even close to being as good as 2Pac. Here's what everybody should know... Biggie was the better rapper only in terms of flow, lyrics, rhymes, However, he could NEVER make music like 2Pac did. Pac's lyrics were so much deeper & poetic that would challenge listeners to think. Also, 2Pac had to sacrifice flow in order to make emotional/poetic songs.

Okay, so why does Biggie have TWO classic albums to his name, while Pac has none? Why has Biggie only made three bad songs IN HIS CAREER, while Pac has HUNDREDS of bad songs? Pac´s lyrics weren´t deep at all, nor were they poetic when you compare them to Kweli´s, Mos Def´s, Nas or Common´s lyrics. Pac was average when it came to lyrics, rhyming, flowing, delivery, beat selection, he was damm near schizofrenic saying "Keep Ya Head Up" and then say "I get around".

There's a different level of rappers. Tupac lyrics was a direct hit. His music lives on because the words are real and there's no clues in between. Tapac, Ice cube, Snoop dogg, Ice T & many more are direct words that don't need to be shuffle around. Just because you got famous rapping about drugs doesn't mean drugs is always a topic. Talk about the good times and bad times but if your music hits good then they people will respond.

Down south, 2pac was the considered a person who revolutionized the rap. Where I'm from 2 pac is hands down greatest of all time. I'm really shocked that pac isn't even in these people's top five. wow. I think these people are biased with their top five being in New York and from New York.

I always base "Best Rapper" or top 5 strictly on lyrical content. As in take away tha music otha than maybe sum1 beatin on a table 4 a beat or a beatbox or just strate acapella lyrical flow, can u rock a crowd or hold every1's attention with just ur word play? ...Reason being? There are just so many otha factors that make an artist what he is now days such as style, image, marketing, & producers that lyrics are all u can really go by. A lotta artist make great songs but can they flow?

Not sure what they're smokin' over there, but Pac is auto-top 5 all time. Anyone who says otherwise is trolling, period. And that white guy who said people werent calling Pac the best while he was alive, may be thats true around his way, which is in NY obviously....But I can claim the same bias and say that here on the west coast, Pac was already considered one of the GOATS, upon the release of Me Against the World. Anyway, Pac is top 5, and easily can be argued as being at the top slot.

In terms of impact, discography, mic presence and charisma, versatility and being the complete package, Pac can't be fucked with. What Pac lacked in lyricism he more than made up for in content. You cant just go by lyricism, because then Canibus would be ranked above Pac and we know that's crazy talk.

@FireIceTalon Thats true that you can't just go by lyricism, however Em and Jay (especially Em) do have most if not all those things you mentioned about pac but of course not as much as pac I would admit and pac is still the MOST important person in Hip Hop but to me that X factor (skill) is what carries you over the line in a close call like this and Pac has content but in a way so do Em and Jay (even though it is not as much) with that bit of skill that makes them better for me
