hi jack, thanks for the tut! im having problems when i open the organizer then right click on to full edit a pic to add to banner it auto opens in a new layer. and if i click and drag to add to the banner the pic is really small and you cant edit it at all....any idea

That depends on where you got the picture from. If it is from a Google search then make sure you download the full image not the thumb nail. Next you want to pull the picture up from the bin at the bottom not from the layers side. Hope this helps.

how do you remove the background color from the pictures? I mean if you have, for example a red background and the picture has a white background, is there a way to "cut" the picture out so that you'll have just the image? Or to make the background of the picture transparent?

Please help! I'm new to this and I need to have a good banner up by tonight!

I'm a Mac user btw, so i don't have programs like MS Paint, but I do have MS Word if its any help.

You can do all of this in Elements. I would say pick up a copy of Elements.

If you get elements, what I would do is use the magic wand tool and select the white. That way it easily selects all the white in the background then hit I believe delete or go to edit> cut.

6 if you already have it. If you are buying new then buy 7. There are a few new tools, nothing that you can not live without.

That would depend on where you are using the banner. I normally start with 200x50 and work my way up from there.

I just got tired of messing with the reg. using the CS demos and my Element 5 is not that great and don't like the toy like icons. PSE7 still looks toy like but I'm not in the mood to spend $1,000 on CS4 LOL

I have LightRoom 1.4 and now I have to upgrade to LR2. But the first one is still full of bugs. I hate when they do that!

I know how to use the programs but I wanted to see how PSE7 works.

There are only a few changes that are in 7, and beside Christmas is coming, ask Santa to bring you a copy of 7. Most videos I do will work on 6 as well as 7. Thanks for watching the shows.
