Nice video, but cops were never that honest. Because of shows like this, a lot of us grew up believing that we should always trust the police. Boy were we fooled. It's still nice to see these videos occasionally - reminds me of how I used to think. The Adam-12 guys were good too, but I'm not sure "better".

I especially like the ones when "Joe Morgan" came along (in color) and they went after the Hippies! - "Were you on narcotics?" hahahahaha! Sure hope those become available! I was too young to see these B&W "Dragnets" (my parents always watched the shows). I saw the later color "Dragnets" when I was in high school, and I enjoyed those (even when they got too preachy). But I've gotten hooked on these B&Ws. Very compelling - very dramatic. I am going to watch as many of them as I can. Thanks for the posts!

@zzzhuh20 There were quite a few people who were in Dragnet (both Jack Webb incarnations) and Adam-12 that also appeared in the original Twilight Zone. Barney, Olan Soule, Howard Culver, Martin Milner, Gary Crosby, Virginia Gregg and Sandy Kenyon just to name a few

It may seem hokey by todays standards, but this was a long running show based on real events. When you take time time notice he killed people so he was executed. Sounds good to me.
