  • im sry did i mishear the one on the right did u say they are reptiles?

  • im not an expert for taking care of those hermit crabs but i dont think u should shake them that way ...

  • They are crustaceans

  • nice

  • Oh and one more thing the sponge is for humidity some hermits don't even drink outta the sponges so fill the water dish high in case they don't like the sponge and if you are afraid they will drown then just put some gravol at the bottom

  • Okay not to be rude but I have two hermit crabs and they have lasted for two years now and you should dig you dishes down in your sand so they can climb in it and especially for you little ones (: and none of yours are adults yet they grow really big ..JS Hope I helped??

  • O YEA AND THEY NEED A SPONGE IN THE WATER AND THEY CAN EAT SUGAR BUT NOT ALOT LIKE 1 FRUIT LOOP OR SOMETHING OR A RITZ CRACKER

  • @deaumonicke00 You have no idea what you're talking about putting a sponge in their water bowl is like sticking a log in your dogs water bowl

  • U LEFT OUT THEY NEED SAND NOT GRAVEL BECAUSE THEY MOSTLY LIVE ON THE BEACH AND THE NEED ALOT OF STUFF TO CLIMB ON AND THEY NEED BIGGER SHELLS THAN THEY ALREADY HAVE AND DONT GET PAINTED SHELLS CUZ THE PAINT CAN KILL THEM AND SOME PEOPLE SHOVE CRABS IN PRETTIER SHELLS EVEN IF THEY CANT FIT THEM AND I NOTICED CRABS AT THE PET STORE NOT GOING TO SAY WHICH 1 THAT HAD NATURAL SHELLS CAME OUT MORE THE THE ONES IN PAINTED SHELLS

  • Personally this message is for everyone we don't need your advice for how to set up our cages. None of our crabs have died from paint or sand, etc. We know what we're doing and we have had hermit crabs for 8 years. Thank you for your cooperation :) Nice comments are appreciated.

  • Hi girls! you guys have the basic supplies needed to make an awesome crabitat but there are a few things that you need to correct. :) The substrate should get "playsand" from your local hardware store or "eco earth" from the pet store for your substrate. Don't use calci sand, hermit crab sand, or reptile sand. You also need a lid to keep humidity in. I don't recommend painted shells at all, they could kill your crabs. Metal is potentially harmful to hermit crabs, the rust that happens when...

  • @TTerror97 the humidity is high enough is toxic for them. Also, that brand of crab food has poisonous ingredients in it. : / I really believe you guys can have an awesome set up, you already have a nicely sized tank!! Just a few small, but serious, corrections have to be made. Please take a look at my hermit crab care video to get an idea of how your tank should run. I have lot's of fancy gadgets on my tank but don't get scared off by them... you don't need them all! :)

  • thanks i like that word crabitat! =)

  • Cool crabitat
