They have had 2 rock bands and they weren't around as long as Guitar Hero. You forget that Activision has been making Guitar Hero for almost 5 years now. Rock band has been around for only 2 years.

Activision hasn't been making it for 5 years now. Original Harmonix made guitar heroes 1 and 2 the good ones. Once Activision took over the game series went down hill.

Point still remains. Guitar Hero has been around much longer. and the quality is still about the same.

Not really. Rock Band has a better community. With plenty of input from fans. And not to mention a much larger libarary of songs. Guitar Hero 3 had so many bugs it was obnoxious the audio was messed up on many songs. To be honest Harmonix is the better game making team.

hahaha activition is the producer they own many studios such as red octane harmonix and vicarious vixons all three were asigned gh1 from activtion ten they asigned then harmonix decided to make rockband witch were activtions intentions while harmonix carried on developing gh3 , their made by the same producer its like rockstar is a producer and they own rockstar sandiego and rockstar north
