Hi - this looks like a pretty nice model. Battery life seems terrible on all jets & to be expected. Are you still flying it today? Any new tricks you've learned? BTW, Wyatt is a great name...sounds like my kids - "is it time to go home dad?" No! We just got here (2 hrs ago) LOL :)
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I still fly it quite a bit. I have a newer vid up with a litttle more aerobatics. My camera is worn out and I am waiting on a new one to come in the mail, so I should have lots more of this plane when the snow finaly quits. I also have a red white and blue coppie of this plane still in the box. I love this plane that much. Wyatt says high and thanks.
Thanks for the review. By the way how long have you been flying RC's? I'm gonna buy one of these just to hang up for now but figure i'll fly it one day after enough practice.
I have been flying for about a year and a half but I started building and flying free flight when I was 12 or 13. I would make sure that you are real comfortable with aileron flight and aerobatics to stay ahead of the plane. EDFs are not hard to fly but they are not ment to fly slow.
Hey, thanks for the video... Was thinking about getting one of these planes myself, and wanted to see how well it flew without getting the "sales pitch" if you know what I mean. Have you had a chance to try the thrust vectoring yet?
Thank you for watching. The thrust vectoring is great and a real head turnner at the field. The only problem is I do the 360 stuff fairly high so it doesn't film well. I will try to post a vid but it will take a lot of editing. This is a great plane and hand launches easily.
It is not the toughest foam out there but is fairly resiliant. I was belly landing this plane and had no problem with the foam. The only damage I have done was in the bed of my truck. Damn deer! Horizontal stab broke in half and I got a small crush on one elevator (I missed the deer). It seems to brake clean and does glue together well. I don't think it would do well in a cartwheel so I try to keep it on its gear, now that I have a short grass field to fly from.
Thanks, that grass acts like an arresting cable on a carrier deck. I can't get my aunt to cut it any shorter. This summer the grass gets so thick I can't run my fingures through it. Works great for belly landings but is tough on gear.
Wyatt says thanks. This plane is easier to hand launch than I thought it would be. It is probably the best edf I have ever flown. Super stable, quiet and lots of power for stock.
