  • Hate tell you this, but with the passage of NDAA 2012 and the indefinite Detention Clause added in, this time it won't be just Japanese and Japanese Americans. Say hello to your future prisons: Gitmo and Correction Corporation of America.

  • very informative. this is a horrible chapter in American history.. I could only imagine how insane this must have been..

  • I once visited it some years ago. Manzanar is a dark and forbidding place. The dark sky and coldness is enough to tell me that. It is a testament to the very disgraceful act in our history.

As for the people who suffered from such treatment, I believe that everyone is as human as we are. So it's time for all of mankind to stand up for what's right, and against all fear and prejudice. It's a important thing to remember what happened, and not let that happen again.

  • ぽ

  • My grandparents and aunts and uncles were here when they were young.

  • @moemo01 I am doing a history fair project on Manzanar if I could contact them and interview them it would be much appreciated my email address is DarthHenry99@gmail.com

  • @DarthHenry99 unfortunantly they have all passed on now, good luck with your project

  • Manzanar will forever be one of the most shameful episodes in American history.

And the fact that the remnants of Manzanar are not better preserved is a disgrace.

It's as if people don't want to be reminded what took place there.

  • this was really cool, i hope to see more stuff like this but with other communities.
