The Catholic Church has spent millions concealing acts of child molestation. I quoted the bible because you said the bible said god does not create evil. But the bible does say god creates evil. Then you said that your bible says god creates disasters. Haiti by dictionary definition is a disaster. Therefore if the christian god does exist, and the bible says god creates evil/disasters, and god is all powerful all knowing and he controls everything, god would be the only thing to blame.

I don't believe God creates ALL disasters. Like I said, that passage refers to specific biblical disasters, not every trajic thing that has ever happened in the world.
Technically there isn't a way to differentiate, it's just speculation. But I think God created nature so that it would work on its own, so it's not like everything that happens is being controlled by God. You could say "But God could prevent these things if he wanted to" but that's a different discussion entirely.

Second, God told man not to eat from that tree because they would "surely die". This death was not only physical, but also a metaphoric separation from God and perfection.
That may be a convenient explanation for why our biology is so haphazardly constructed, but it doesn't explain why God would put a couple of ignorant children into a garden with a poisonous tree (or why it'd be called the Tree of Knowledge instead of something more ominous) and a conniving being who had superior knowledge and wit. One would think that the heavenly "father" would have better parenting skills.
I wouldn't call them "ignorant children". They were told what not to do. And it was called the "tree of knowledge of good and evil" because it gave man the ability to differentiate between the two. It made them fear God's wrath after they ate from it. Before that, they were in harmony with God, and they only knew innocence.

because you guys want to feel different. There isnt anything wrong with being different. But denying that God is real, sends you right down to Hell. Being a christian is soo amazing! I'm not even joking. You meet aamzing people. The worship and praise to God is just awesome. And when you die or when Jesus comes back to judge us. All the athiests, muslims, etc will be striken down to Hell, just because of that dumb deccision that you made on Earth.

Answer: because, back then, the Greeks had no other way of explaining lightning, sea movements and natural disasters, so they assumed they were the works of the supernatural. The same thing has happened in modern day theism: we don't know how we got here so it must be supernatural.

even without the Bible,I can give you more reasons to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, than what you can give me not to believe,I have seen miracles,blinded eyes opened,deaf ears unstopped,just recently I was in a service where a person had one leg shorter than the other,we all prayed and Jesus made both legs the same length,EXPLAIN THAT ONE AWAY DEVIL,YOU CAN'T DO IT! because there is no other explanation,that the miraculous hand of the one true and living God touched her and she was healed

I quoted the bible because you said the bible said god does not create evil. But the bible does say god creates evil. Then you said that your bible says god creates disasters. Haiti by dictionary definition is a disaster. Therefore if the christian god does exist, and the bible says god creates evil/disasters, and god is all powerful all knowing and he controls everything, god would be the only thing to blame.
And I wasn't referring to Job, I was referring to the christian god.

I don't believe God creates ALL disasters. Like I said, that passage refers to specific biblical disasters, not every trajic thing that has ever happened in the world.

So how do you differentiate between a natural disaster/evil vs a disaster/evil that god creates? Do you not believe god controls nature?

Technically there isn't a way to differentiate, it's just speculation. But I think God created nature so that it would work on its own, so it's not like everything that happens is being controlled by God. You could say "But God could prevent these things if he wanted to" but that's a different discussion entirely.

Funny that you would ridicule other people for being "ignorant" when it was your god who told his people to *not eat from the Tree of Knowledge. And let's not forget to mention that if the creator of the universe -- who supposedly endowed us with our faculties -- had intended for us to "see the truth", he could have easily given us better "eyes".
But, then again, consistency has never been a theistic strong suit (which is why this video exists)

First of all, it was not ridicule. I'm just saying that many people misunderstand the Bible because they don't do enough research. Second, God told man not to eat from that tree because they would "surely die". This death was not only physical, but also a metaphoric separation from God and perfection.

That may be a convenient explanation for why our biology is so haphazardly constructed, but it doesn't explain why God would put a couple of ignorant children into a garden with a poisonous tree (or why it'd be called the Tree of Knowledge instead of something more ominous) and a conniving being who had superior knowledge and wit. One would think that the heavenly "father" would have better parenting skills.

I wouldn't call them "ignorant children". They were told what not to do. And it was called the "tree of knowledge of good and evil" because it gave man the ability to differentiate between the two. It made them fear God's wrath after they ate from it. Before that, they were in harmony with God, and they only knew innocence.
We view God with human perspectives, which often causes confusion for both Christians and athiests, but all I can say is that God wanted mankind to have free will.

Well you are free to believe whatever you want, but none of your responses resolve the issue I raised earlier, and they do not bring evidence to bear on their claims. It is really just a minor point that Adam and Eve didn't know better by virtue of the fact that they hadn't yet eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (If they knew the difference between good and bad prior to eating the apple, they would have known not to eat it. Catch 22)

They knew prior to eating it because of God's instructions, but they were decieved. Not necessarily evil themselves, just tricked into doing something evil. Nobody can really know why God didn't just make a perfect universe that would ALWAYS be perfect and nothing would ever go wrong, but my theory is that God would get really bored. Wouldn't you?
Anyway, if you don't believe in God, why does any of this matter to you? Why do you care about the motives of a God you do not believe in?

It is a false dichotomy to say that "free will" means choosing between good and evil, because there are plentiful options on the "good" side; it doesn't necessitate evil. Well considering the fact that the first morality-related commandment is *sixth* on the list, and considering the fact that only 4 of the 10 deal in moralistic topics, I'd say "morality" is pretty low on his agenda.
Further, these commandments would be entirely unnecessary if God would just make people inherently good. Most importantly, of course, is the problem that obedience and morality are not equatable.
