Now . . . . go look at one that is a few years old and see all the rock chips in the (once beautiful) paint job. That's what the new on is going to look like in a few years, too. I wish they made shrink wrap for cars that you could have removed and new wrap put on every few years. It could have UV protection in it . . . . that would be nice.

My sis just got a 1999 RX300 and it's amazing, Lexus really blew the market out of the water when it first introduced it, now look how far it's come haha! I would love to drive an sc430 but never gotten the chance :/ I've driven older sc300s and 400s and I love them, great cars!

I'm not really a mercedes fan to be honest, I've driven them, and it's not that they aren't nice, they are very nice! But I think Lexus is more comfortable and less problematic, Mercedes also comes with a much heftier price tag, one of which I don't think is all that worth it, I think you pay for the name a little, just my two cents though lol

I honestly don't care about sportivity ,,, if I buy a car is because i want that care to last for a LONG TIME without problems ,,, German Cars ( BMW , MERCEDES , VW, AUDI) might have sportivity but when it comes to reliability they are way behind . When you buy a German car you're paying for a name not for quality. Just look at the Consumer Report Magazines , Lexus ( TOYOTA MOTOR CORP ) is always on the top and its because they are the best Car Company in the World .

They arent the best car company... for you yes, but some think german cars are the best, not lexus. German cars reliability is getting better years after years, Audi has now a better than average reliability !!!! They may not be as reliable as Lexus are, but they arent shit. They are two different brands for differents needs.

I agree that german cars have more sportivity, they pretty much have always been the best at that, lexus is slowly catching up with the IS-F but the M3 BMW is still top dog. Lexus's niche is in the Luxury car market in my opinion, ever since the introduction of the 1990 LS400 it has been one of if not the top Luxury brands in the world. So in essence if you are comparing german and lexus, it's complicated because it seems that both auto makers are out for slightly different markets

You are right they cost more but I dont think they are less comfortable... take a look at the E class VS the Lexus Gs and the S Class VS the Lexus LS

Well when I mean comfort I am just a person that prefers the softer more padded seats. I have a 2007 Lexus ES350 with the ultra luxury package and it's amazingly comfortable and it supports well for such a padded seat. Other vehicles (not just german) that have the stiffer seats have good support and are comfortable in a different way, I'm just used to soft seats and it's what I like haha lol. I think lexus delivers that better, I've sat in many BMW and mercedes so I'm not just blowing smoke :P

They're already out in production but they're pretty much on an order basis now. In other words they're not mass producing them at the moment I think. I saw one at my lexus dealer and it was the only one they had and it was sold already

I had 2000 model RX300 and I loved the space-ship like feel to it. It felt so advanced. I think Lexus was trying to put that unique feeling back into the RX that the second generation lacked.

some lexus packages are quite expensive, it can go up to $12000, definitely the packages are more expensive than ones from other brands

oh yeah, that's definitely true. I like the user interface, it's very simple to use, much easier than I thought it would be. The pricing is like the executive package for the LS460, that gives it the reclining seats, and a myriad of other features, it is very pricy!
