@twixas8866 Well, as you reach each new tier, bringing your ship or ships up to spec is first priority. Be sure to look up the good guides on the forums for special equipment and ship chassis from quests. It's probable that there is a player run 'starship mart' you should hunt down. Dial in some good spots to hunt for space junk. I reccomend having a multiplayer ship and a friend or two. Just doing patrol missions in my B-Wing with my bro was great fun, and never got old. Man now I wanna fly!
It's a Reverse Engineered Ionic Pulse Cannon. I believe it's quest reward only.
It takes alot of space junk hunting to do a worthy re-engineer job on one time quest rewards though. Re-engineering ship components can only be done by a shipwright,
I am a Rebel Alliance pilot. The craft Rebels start off with is a Z-95 Headhunter. Imperials start off with a "light" TIE fighter. You have to buy an X-Wing/"regular" TIE fighter once you gain enough experience to get the certification to pilot it. I don't remember about the flight suit. I think it's a reward when you finish Tier 1 piloting. The Ace Pilot Helmet is the reward for completing the final piloting mission of Tier 5 piloting for your faction.
Pre Trials of Obi Wan I was Master TK/Doc and after stopping in to sate my starship itch went full medic. The doc/beast master hybrid was very interesting looking, I might come down from space long enough to check it out someday :)

I get the reverse engineering with the shipwright(cause i've played SWG)but i was kinda wierded out because I had never seen that before.

Id like to know the same thing but also. When you join the rebels or the imperials do they give you a flight suit-flight helmet-x-wing/tie fighter?

if you need to take out a larger ship take out the engines and stop out of where the turrets can hit. like the ships in kashyk space
