I will be going to Portugal on the 29th and we plan to drive to Spain and ferry over to Morocco. We only have 2 days to do this trip and Chefchaouen seems like the perfect place to visit on a short trip. Thank you for all your videos. I love them. Where do you recommend we stay?

What was the name of the mosque you mentioned at the end? It looked awesome and I am sure view of the town from there would be really cool. Is that a practicising mosque?
In fact it is not a mosque and never has been. it was a statement of domination by the Spanish when they ruled
Northern Morocco. They hoped that the local people would treck up the hill to worship and not wake the the colonialists with the call to prayer, Some hope!
@techants how many days you stayed in Chaouen? I have about a day and half? do you think that's enough to have a quick trip for pictures..I have so short time..any specific route you suggest
I juat saw your video and it's an amazing one! I'm originally from morocco and I'm glad to see that you had a fantastic time with your family visiting my birth country. You definitely shoud have your own tv show! You are gifted and you should pursuit it. Again thank you for the video!
Just want to let you know, there's no such thing as a cactus rug. It's the latest tourist trap in morocco. They pass the rugs off as 'cactus silk' or something, but it's totally just rayon, a semi-artificial fiber that looks like silk.
although originally planned, i could not visit Chaouen. i had a great reason to stay in Rabat though, i met my current fiancée there. but Morocco is my second home town, will visit Chaouen one day

My parents were born in chefchaouen and we have a lot of family over there. Now we live in the Netherlands but we visit it nearly every year. Still its always a pleasure going there and it has a special place in our hearts.
I'm glad you've enjoyed your stay as well and thanks for the great video!

I love Morocco, I was there for 3 1/2 months and I hope to move back. It is the most beautiful place with the friendliest people! I am a lil bit biased, m husband if from there! Love your videos, keep them coming.
You have to make time to see the world. That's how you get to experience different cultures and food. For me, I don't have the money. Someday, I will travel around the globe and make videos about my experiences too.
You are very observant and obsoletely correct. There must be one or two cats per person in the town. I was going to do a piece on the cats of Chefchaouen, but a lot of the video I took was lost on a bad scan disc. Incidentally, I never saw a single dog. Thank you for commenting. - John

first congratulations on the birth of you new daughter.
second, how come you do not have your own cable show.
you really should audition for
" voice " films.
third, what a great way to spend time with the family.
when i tripped in Egypt ( 1989 ) they too were friendly.
most thought i was German.
ten stars for this video, and a million stars for the love and time you give your family.
