Charming Chefchaouen, Morocco

I will be going to Portugal on the 29th and we plan to drive to Spain and ferry over to Morocco. We only have 2 days to do this trip and Chefchaouen seems like the perfect place to visit on a short trip. Thank you for all your videos. I love them. Where do you recommend we stay?

i come from chechaouen, thank you for your movie, , it is a good advertisement for Chefchaouen, and for the American people to, because the majority of Moroccans people have a bad idea on th U.S, So this kind of movi is a good idea for friendships between the people also ;-)

What was the name of the mosque you mentioned at the end? It looked awesome and I am sure view of the town from there would be really cool. Is that a practicising mosque?

In fact it is not a mosque and never has been. it was a statement of domination by the Spanish when they ruled

Northern Morocco. They hoped that the local people would treck up the hill to worship and not wake the the colonialists with the call to prayer, Some hope!

Just want to let you know, there's no such thing as a cactus rug. It's the latest tourist trap in morocco. They pass the rugs off as 'cactus silk' or something, but it's totally just rayon, a semi-artificial fiber that looks like silk.

My parents were born in chefchaouen and we have a lot of family over there. Now we live in the Netherlands but we visit it nearly every year. Still its always a pleasure going there and it has a special place in our hearts.
