I'm not an expert on Volcanos but 1. Lava is outside the Volcano, thats magma.

2. Not all Volcanos have a spout. Very few volcano's actually exploud on the side rather than bursting out of the top.

3. If it was a volcano, you'd be dead.

Yes, a volcano does require a spout, because the volcano is the name for the spout itself, otherwise all you have is a volcanic cavern.

I'm probably taking this game a little to seriously, but could it be possible that the "cave" as it is called, has a path that tunnels deep into the earth, close enough to the molten layer of the earth beneath the crust?

If so then our characters may have found a path that is very close to an exposed pocket of magma.

A Volcanoe is simply a vent that leads beneath th earth's crust. Volcanoes don't necessarily have to have lava (magma if underground) but may just release sub terrain gases.

@HCBailly the only gaboy cartridge i've had go bad was either pokemon gold or silver and those are said to go relatively quick because of the clock.

pokemon ruby and saphire have a glitch with the clock but it can be fixed via a patch from the other versions for GBA or Game Cube

It's very hard to pin down exactly what a volcano is, especially when you take into account extinct volcanoes. There's no longer magma flowing through them...so are they still volcanoes?

Oh, and then you have supervolcanoes just to make things more confusing. Yellowstone park, for example, is essentially one giant supervolcano that would plunge the world into a nuclear winter if it explodes...

But there's no magma near the surface, so does it technically count as a volcano either?

So when you reach level 32, the power would be 128.

1st of all, it's not lava, it's magma, when magma comes to the surface it then becomes lava.

To what makes a volcano a volcano? You need water' earth' rock' plate tectonics & magma, to make a volcano.

In late game, Locke with Genji Glove+Offering and Ultima Weapon+Excalibur rapes almost anything.

Even better in the Advance version, where you can steal a second Ultima Weapon in one part of the final battle, save the game, and use dual Ultimas for the bonus dungeons.

For viewers, the Atma Blade is not useful at this point in the game. It's based off of your character's level and their HP. Your current HP, not your max HP. So you want to use it when your character has 2500+ HP. Also a good character to have it on is a esper that you get later on in the game that gives a certain HP boost.

Volcanic activity tends to form mountains over a period of time. So, for a place or mountain to be a volcano, you'll need lava or magma, and an opening where it can escape.

Not well. I've played FFX before, but I'm not liking it this time around. I haven't started OOT, as I got distracted when I heard of the DS Dragon Quest games, so I'm playing DW2 now. Yes, I'm aware that I've officially gone insane by playing DW2 instead of OOT.

I'm also playing Illusion of Gaia to get ready for my next side LP. It's been a long time since I played it, but it's a lot better than I remember. Not that I thought it was bad. I just don't remember it being this good.

Atma weapon has 2 major bonuses to it 1: it bypasses enemy defense and 2: it ignores downgrades from relics aka gengi glove and offering. BTW put both on with 2 Atma weapons and late game you get alot of dead enemies.

I always found the Atma Weapon to be really powerful, at least in the Advance version. I just stuck it on Terra or Celes with a Genji Glove, and it seemed to make them my most powerful character (well, maybe behind Sabin).

If you use Mug, it bypasses some weapon effects, including the Atma Weapon's comparison from your current to max HP, effectively making it a no-frills 255 battle power weapon, which is great for Locke.

You want volcanoes? We got 'em where I'm at. Look up Mount St. Helens' 1980 eruption.I think there were several more events like it in East Asia recently. Then again, they call these lands surrounding the Pacific the "Ring of Fire" for the sheer number of active/dormant volcanoes dotting them.

The largest volcanos often don't have a visible lava dome or cinder cone on the surface. Instead, they form when a massive magma chamber builds up under the surface, over a hotspot in Earth's mantle. Instead of building up a mountain, a supervolcano forms a caldera, more or less a giant crater left over when the ceiling of the magma chamber collapses in the eruption when the contents erupt out.

We should feel very lucky there hasn't been a supervolcano eruption in at least 26,000 years.

Yes, there are volcanoes without openings, it's called the cap of the volcano, but that tends to be replaced every time the volcano erupts, it's normally caused by the sides collapsing in or the cooling of the lava, and almost always covered in a layer of ash.

I don't know if this area constitutes as a volcano simply because it's impossible to tell if it's on a fault line or if it has erupted.

Hmm...what constitutes a volcano? That would be a really long comment I can't fit, but lets say an opening in the earth, usually that has mantle plumes underneath, that releases magma, ash, and gases. Most volcanoes are found at plate boundaries, and infact there's more of them in the oceans than on land(Geology class in college last year)

I don't care much for it either, the damage is really only based on your hp, and it won't do that much till your max hp is a lot higher. Later on it can be more useful, yeah, but right now spells, character's own specials (tools, blitz etc.) and other weapons with their effects are much better to use.

Fun fact: you can "kill" Kefka if your attack is strong enough. He has 895 HP, and you see his dead sprite briefly if you deal that much damage.

This doesn't impact the storyline; it's just fun to see.
